Hi oil and gas friends! Would you like to get a PROMOTION at work within twelve to eighteen months? Here are FOUR TIPS to put you on the right track! 1. Focus on consistently delivering high-quality work, and on meeting or exceeding expectations. This is one of the most important things you can do to improve your chances of getting a promotion. 2. Take on additional responsibilities, and seek out new challenges. Show that you are willing and able to take on MORE than what is expected of you. 3. Build strong relationships with your team, colleagues, and superiors. Networking can help you gain visibility and support within your organization. 4. Seek out opportunities for growth and development. This includes attending workshops, getting a mentor, and taking additional education, training, or coaching. So to sum up: overdeliver on doing your job, ask for more responsibilities, grow your network of relationships, and build up your skillset so that you offer more VALUE to your employer. Then you'll be the kind of person that your senior managers will want to promote! Let me know in the comments if you have any other tips or advice about how to get a promotion. ================================ Hi there, I'm David Snow, and I help oil and gas leaders to MARKET themselves professionally to companies to land their DREAM JOB.
