Robins Air Force Base, Georgia - With the Air Force's upcoming achievement of the initial operating capability milestone for the Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN) model, the Air Force Reserve stands prepared to offer essential support. AFFORGEN introduces a well-structured 24-month rotational deployment cycle, comprising four distinct six-month phases: Prepare, Certify, Available, and Reset. Airmen and units diligently cultivate readiness during the Prepare and Certify phases, undertake deployments in the Available phase, and subsequently focus on reintegration and revitalization during the Reset phase. The attainment of the initial operating capability remains firmly on schedule for October 1st. For more information: https://bit.ly/3Zo31NP #Deployment #MissionReady #BattleReady #Airmen

I have to admit I have the best colleagues and friends around (not biased at all 😉 ). These women and other Airmen and Guardians just like them have kept their services afloat by serving as protocol officers, strategy experts, operational and tactical warriors, and so much more. Lucky for me, I have become friends with and gotten to know servicemembers outside of my first specialty, the tactical flying community. People from every profession in the military are necessary to keep us being the best, strongest, and most capable Air Force and Space Force on the planet. Have you reached out to someone outside your primary specialty today? Exploring different roles within the military can provide valuable insights into how diverse expertise enhances national and global security. #MilitaryService #NationalSecurity #DiversityInRoles

I am grateful for the time the USAF Air Command and Staff College afforded me to think deeply about Air Force problems. Some great lessons from Operation Inherent Resolve are summarized in the linked book and I'm proud to contribute chapter 13 to the collection. https://lnkd.in/gKfnnVS6

For my V-22 friends on the platform… This aircraft drives spirited discussions amongst those who follow it. I’ve seen both the operational side while supporting it during operations around the world and the administrative side while working on a Headquarters Staff. It solved a time/distance problem while creating logistical and financial burdens. Though not necessarily unique to this platform, I believe it received more scrutiny because it looks different. If I learned nothing else from my 24+ years in the military, institutions don’t like things that look different. Admittedly, there are areas for improvement for this platform. Hopefully as it comes back online, the institutions supporting it, pave a way forward that doesn’t come at the cost of more lives. #randomthoughts #aviation #safety #flightsafety
