Before we all shutdown the computers before a weekend of pre-Christmas festivities, I just wanted to share this fantastically written piece by Elliot Proudhon-Smith! ⚡ https://lnkd.in/eJkXP-jS ⚡ In an ever-increasingly hostile media landscape, we need more articulate, easy reading 'myth busting' articles out there and delighted that ElectricDrives has what I consider one of best (not that I am basis...!). If you've got a spare 6mins to finish off the day then this is well worth a read! #ElectricVehicles | #EV | #BEV | #EMobility | #ChargingSolutions | #ChargingInfrastructure

A Clear Analysis of speed that is velocity against Time Equal to Life.

The amount of time saved per 10kmph increase in speed is negligible when you’re travelling at high speeds on highways. But that increases our stopping distance , reaction time and risk exponentially. As in a crash, the entire kinetic energy (KE) needs to be absorbed by the car, where KE is velocity squared. So literally from the table attached , Increasing speed from 100->110 will save around 8% of travel time. but increase kinetic energy to 21%. Danger increases 3 times faster than Thrill of reaching early and what not. Your choice now.

Here are some interesting readings for this Sunday. I always felt after electric vehicles (#EVs) that electric boats would happen. Instead, #AAM electric air mobility took over and I'm very thankful for it. While we wait on battery energy-density for electric boats to take off, recreation vehicle (#RV) is having a bot of electric drive new life breathed into this sector. Pebble Life has a motorized renewable energy RV that helps your EV towing range and gas mileage if you use a gas car. the same goes for Lightship RV. The idea of having a caravan with an electric drive propulsion system and being "off-grid" wherever you go is appealing to me. I always wanted to convert an Airstream or a GMC to do just that. This seems like a good first step in that direction. Check out https://pebblelife.com/ & https://lightshiprv.com/ In a very different register, this is a good look at what is happening with the US foreign policy landscape. A few will catch a glimpse of the repercussions for our respective industries. https://lnkd.in/eNxSJafC This was an interesting article on how Millennials are becoming older and not necessarily at the forefront of the limelight of the news. It begs a few questions, such as what will happen to this generation and how will they maneuver gracefully to become older and "washed out". Hopefully, my generation can help with that last one 😁 https://lnkd.in/eBVXrWWa Hope you're enjoying your Sunday!
