Last week was the 35th year that Americans came together to acknowledge and show their gratitude for the tireless efforts of the 3.6 million professional truck drivers who work tirelessly to deliver the essential goods and resources to communities across the nation. The impact of truck drivers is felt in every corner of the country, as more than 80% of U.S. communities rely exclusively on trucks to meet their freight transportation needs. In addition to recognizing our drivers here at Cumberland Dairy as noted in Antonio Cruz 's post, we also recognize the many drivers who bring milk from Dairy Farmers of America's 11,000 family farm-owners' farms to DFA's 82 manufacturing locations as well as many other leading dairy and food companies throughout the US. We appreciate all the efforts to bring our nutritious products to retailers, restaurants , schools , distributors and consumers throughout the US! #NTDAW23 #dairy #truckingindustry #dfamilk0

Warehouse & Transportation Manager

We took some time to recognize our drivers last week for National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Truck driving is still one of the 10 most dangerous jobs in our country and our drivers do an amazing job of performing their duties daily while helping our company maintain one of the best accident rates in the industry. They rise each day before dawn, drive safely while negotiating various traffic hazards, deliver our quality products, support our customer needs, and help maintain vehicle standards. They do all this while many of them work well over a 40-hour week, 12–16-hour days and support their families and extended families financially and emotionally. They truly are an amazing group of employees that we have at Cumberland Dairy and we appreciate them all!
