We're excited to open the Call for Abstracts for the SIREN 2025 National Research Meeting: Advancing the Science of Social Care, which will take place on February 2-4, 2025 in San Diego, California.   We invite you to submit your social care research to the National Research Meeting! Abstracts for posters, podium presentations, and workshops should focus on the implementation or effectiveness of healthcare policies / practices related to collecting data about social conditions and/or interventions informed by data about social conditions. These healthcare policies and practices may be targeted at the patient, system, or community level. We are particularly interested in research that examines equity-related outcomes. For us, inclusive research is not about checking a box, it’s about better serving patients and evolving the way we design and execute all clinical studies across our business. In 2023, we expanded our Advancing Inclusive Research (AIR) Site Alliance footprint, bringing clinical studies to more communities who have historically been left out. And we’re seeing real results. Our AIR Site Alliance sites are enrolling more diverse patient populations two times faster compared to their study peers. I am delighted to share Together4RD’s position statement, which delves into a critical topic: the untapped potential of European Reference Networks (ERNs) in addressing the unmet needs of people living with a rare disease. 💪   Title: Together4RD Position Statement on Collaboration between European Reference Networks and Industry   🔗 Find the publication here: https://lnkd.in/epgN5UZr   Despite the remarkable strides that ERNs have made in connecting medical professionals, researchers, and patients across Europe, we believe there is so much more we can achieve.    Currently, ERNs are not fulfilling their full potential in research, largely due to lack of resources and support, and the lack of collaborations that harness relevant expertise, including with industry.   Together4RD’s paper outlines strategic recommendations to address these challenges and enhance the efficacy of ERNs in the rare disease landscape. We firmly believe that by fostering stronger public-private partnerships and encouraging cross-sector collaboration, we can amplify the impact of ERNs and improve the lives of those who need it most.
