Lymphoma is cancer of your white blood cells, and there are two main types. Lymphoma can occur at any age, and is one of the most common types of cancer among children, teens and young adults. Around the world, 580,000 people are diagnosed with lymphoma each year. In the United States, that translates to a lymphoma diagnoses approximately every 6 minutes, making it the 7th most common type of cancer in the US. The Chike Springer Foundation's mission is to enable better treatment options for Lymphoma patients and promote diversity in cancer research. One of the ways we accomplish this is by partnering with other Lymphoma organizations like the Lymphoma Research Foundation to fund innovative and comprehensive cancer research. Today is Lymphoma Awareness Day The Chike Springer Foundation's mission is to enable better treatment options for Lymphoma patients and promote diversity in cancer research. A $50 donation will sponsor 1 additional day of lymphoma research focusing on underserved populations and addressing health equity issues. Lymphoma is the most common type of blood cancer. This year in the United States: ➡️ 19,000 people will be diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL) ➡️ 81,560 people will be diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) ➡️ 9,000 people will be diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL) Help us save thousands of lives through improved treatment outcomes. https://lnkd.in/gz2Szw7G

Here are a few amazing things that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is able to do with the donations they receive: -$300 could help fund one week of LLS-sponsored group support for families dealing with blood cancer treatment. -$500 could help defray the costs of treatment-related travel for a patient. -$1,000 could help fund general lab supplies for five weeks to help LLS-funded researchers conduct laboratory work needed to develop blood cancer treatments. -$7,500 could help fund the work of an LLS-funded research fellow for six weeks. -$10,000 can allow donor direct funding of one of nine disease-specific research portfolios.
