Love your neighbor. Good Samaritan development is the heart of our mission. As Jesus explained the reason for His parable in Matthew 22:37-39, how we love God and our neighbor provides us with a condensed checklist of the Ten Commandments. FAMA is motivated by our love of Jesus Christ. We love our neighbors because His love has literally transformed us, and, as a result, can see our communities with the love we've been given. Further, FAMA believes that knowing our neighbors is the first step to expressing our love for each community member. This means assessing needs door-to-door within our first neighborhood of 835 homes and building trust with those who need a helping hand. Being heard, understood... known, the love is felt, needs are met, and the relationships, which often begin as practical, become deep, rich, and gospel centric over time. Most churches in urban areas require a neighborhood strategy to become successfully conversant. FAMA bridges this gap by providing area churches with detailed, practical information on community residents that have been personally developed and updated. This makes outreach impact much more likely the first time! While you work, love your neighbors enough to be curious. Please pay attention to what they appear to value, and connect with them in a meaningful, intentional way. Always work to make your interaction positive so that peace can prevail should a conflict arise. For more on our mission, please visit famalliance.org

Ordained Senior Pastor, SID Division endorsed Chaplain, and Global Evangelist at Seventh-day Adventist Church KwaZulu Natal Free state Confrence (KNFC)
Solidarity: • Solidarity is not an act of charity, but an act of unity and strength; it demands that we stand unwaveringly with those who face injustice, even when it doesn't directly benefit us. • True solidarity means fighting for others with the same passion we fight for ourselves, recognizing that our liberties are intertwined and our destinies are shared. Love • Love is a relentless force, not a fleeting emotion. It demands our utmost commitment and deepest understanding, challenging us to see and accept others in their entirety • True love is not just a feeling, but a decision, a daily act of choosing others' happiness and well-being as passionately as our own. Humanity • Humanity is our collective identity, transcending borders, cultures, and differences; it obliges us to uphold and protect the dignity and rights of every person without exception. • To be truly human is to recognize and cherish the humanity in others, understanding that our own well-being is inextricably linked to the well-being of others. Kindness • Kindness is a universal language, cutting through barriers and touching lives in ways words often cannot; it's an expression of strength, not weakness. • Acting with kindness should not be a sporadic gesture but a consistent trait, shaping our interactions and decisions, and reflecting our deepest values and respect for others. I believe our true purpose of existence is to share the love of God with each other, breaking all barriers that separate our human touch from one another. Jesus came to demonstrate this in the fullness of its true definition, in all practicality. Pastor Mitesh Patel #love #lovepeople

Eid al-Adha holds wisdom in several aspects of the celebration. Here are some key points: * **Faith and Sacrifice:** The story of Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael commemorates the ultimate test of faith and obedience to God. It teaches Muslims about prioritizing God's will and finding strength in submission. * **Sharing and Compassion:** The meat from the sacrificed animal is divided into three parts: for the family, for friends and relatives, and for the poor and needy. This emphasizes sharing blessings and caring for those less fortunate. * **Gratitude and Appreciation:** Eid al-Adha is a time to be thankful for God's provisions and blessings. Muslims reflect on their lives and celebrate with joy and contentment. * **Selflessness and Generosity:** The act of giving meat to those in need teaches Muslims about generosity and putting the needs of others before oneself. Eid al-Adha goes beyond just the celebratory meal. It's a time for self-reflection, strengthening bonds with loved ones, and giving back to the community.
