Today, I watched "Why the Future of AI Relies on Structured Content," with Michael Iantosca, Dipo Ajose-Coker, and Christopher Carroll. A few points stood out to me - namely, that the move from stochastic AI models to neuro-symbolic reasoning can be made by augmenting models with knowledge graphs. I may primarily work on taxonomies - not quite knowledge graphs - but feel especially motivated knowing that the structuring of content stands to hold greater and greater value going forward. I also like chat Dipo Ajose-Coker had to say about navigating the challenge of breaking down silos (or instead connecting them)- it's "easier to connect people than change their minds." Just watched a great webinar on the use of AI in the creative industry and one of the presenters had a great analogy on it... Basically, imagine you have 2 cooks, one professional (us humans) and one amateur (AI). They both have access to the same ingredients and both can come up with the same dish, but the professional, with all their experience and technical know-how, is the one who'll skillfully prepare the ingredients, adding flavour and then presenting the dish to the pass.
