It's finally time to put my money where my mouth is... So, I spend all day, everyday talking about go-to-market strategy, systems integrations, ICP attributes, data hygiene and standardization, generative AI, automation, customer journey, and customer-focused messaging...but always for products and services that other people made. A few years ago I built a B2C SaaS product that I'm going to now take a crack at commercializing it. Technology has changed a ton since 2016 when I built the beta and having access to no-code platforms like Bubble.io, ChatGPT to help with python (I don't know python, but use it everyday!), and easily accessible datasets from organizations across the globe has changed what's possible. But, before I do anything I want to be clear about my (business) goals. Success = In the short term, generating enough revenue to cover my monthly operating expenses. Anything above that is frosting on top, and nice to have a bit of passive income. In the long term, I think it's too early and there are too many variables to define long-term success. Plan = 1. Decide when to reallocate time and energy spent building my product, to marketing and selling my product. I anticipate this being tough because I LOVE building my product. In other words, my MVP. 2. Put a ton of time into my Brand Positioning Statement. Here's the one I love: For [target audience] that need [challenge or pain with clear ramifications if not solved], [my product name] is a [category that [how my product solves the customer's challenge/pain]. 3. Based on my BPS, reach out to individuals who I think could be a good fit and promote my product. Collect lots of data (as a RevOps guy, I LOVE data), analyze the data to see what's working and what isn't, and use that insight to inform my next steps. I've been watching the A.I sales android database reactivation space, (with enormous excitement) for a while. What I'm seeing will transform most businesses that have a load of unconverted leads sat on their database, that they've paid for already and given up on. It literally could be a goldmine waiting to be tapped. Some of the stats I'm seeing from other companies doing similar things to us reveal staggering figures about the potential of android appointment setting booking bots in reinvigorating your stale leads. - Data that's over a year old and has been dialled to oblivion? The bots still manage a healthy 3-4% appointment booking rate. - Data that's just 3 days old but has been run through the mill? We're looking at a 10-12% booking rate. - But the real game-changer is fresh leads from Google Ads that haven't been dialled yet. Here, our AI buddies have achieved a whopping 50% appointment booking rate! Collecting and analysing the voice of customer data doesn't have to be complicated. Once, I created a Google Form to be used by salespeople and the customer support team to save customer feedback and questions to a Google Sheet. Next, we manually grouped all the feedback for visualisation and a better understanding of customer problems. A manual process was all we needed: no new tools, no AI, nothing fancy.
