This 30-minute routine has changed my life and cut my work anxiety by 50%... Journal "dumping" Do you ever wake up with Monkey Mind? Non-stop chatter that: • Paralyzes you • Destroys your focus • Kills your productivity The type of inner dialogue that prevents you from getting the important sh*t done. Journal dumping is the only way I know how to get rid of the chatter. So I can move on with my day. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 1. No phones or laptop 2. Grab a coffee, journal, and pen 3. Dump your thoughts onto the page No grammar rules. No plan. The goal is to pour out your worries. • To-do lists • I forgot to do ___ • What if I fail at ___? • What's keeping me up at night? • Where am I dropping the ball in life? It's a mini-therapy session. Let it out. This is by far the most helpful productivity hack in my daily routine. Now I can get sh*t done without those worries floating around in my mind. Simple, but essential. 𝙄𝙨 𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚? I'd be a headcase without this habit.

Have you tested writing pen and paper vs. typing it out in a google doc? Curious if getting it out faster is more effective, or if it's better to slow it down.

I've shifted from journalling to voice memos. I sometimes realize, I just need to vent it out and journalling slows me down a bit. Been helpful, and I journal when Im in a positive state of mind.

Anthony Carlton I have done this for years but never realised the value of it

I love this ritual, Anthony Carlton. I do that same thing. One thing I added to my weekly ritual is to review and summarize my daily notes each Saturday morning to look for insights, lessons learned and things that seem to keep coming up for potential action.

Absolutely love this idea! Journal dumping sounds like a game-changer for clearing mental clutter. I can see how it can really set the tone for a productive day.

I was genuinely surprised at how effective this was when I began. The simple task of getting what was in my head onto paper brought about so much clarity. It's my most effective way to prioritize my to do list.
