Tip 22% and treat your server well. Why the f*ck would you do that? I’ll tell you why. - Servers work their ass off - Servers make money from tips - It feels good to tip well > be cheap - It shows your true character to others If I’m considering working with you, investing with you, or hanging out with you... And I see you treat a restaurant server like shit… Red flag for me. People who treat their server like sh*t make for TERRIBLE: - Clients - Investors - Employees - Business vendors - Basically anyone… Im changing it up today. Not talking about money. Not talking about LinkedIn. Not talking about branding. Why? Because the judge of someone’s character is a skill you need to learn in life. And how people treat the server at a restaurant… Tells you a lot about them as a person. Would you ever work with someone who is a jerk to the server at a restaurant?

Tipping well, speaking well to others, smiling, not talking down to anyone in service... all are ways to tell someone's character.

I think it should be a requirement for everyone to have a service job in hospitality for at least 1 year. Such a tough job and so much respect for the ones who do it well and with grace. 🖤

How someone treats restaurant servers shows their empathy, respect, and decency towards others, crucial for building trust in both business and personal relationships.

Better yet: Make a reservation ahead of time, and prep with your server. During dinner, be rude to the server, and leave a bad credit card tip (give them a good cash tip). See what the person you're interviewing does. Do they apologize to the server when you're in the bathroom? Do they give them a cash tip, or at least apologize that they don't have cash? Do they seem less interested in working for you as the dinner goes on?

Couldn't agree more. Seeing how you treat servers can tell a lot about your personality. It's not just about the money, tipping well and treating servers with respect shows you understand and appreciate their hard work. If someone is rude to their server, and claims that they'd behave in other situations, it doesn't matter how nice or professional you can be if you can't treat people right because your status might be higher than theirs you're just a horrible person. It's crucial to value kindness and respect in our daily interactions. Thanks for sharing such a meaningful message, Anthony Carlton

I agree lot of times we talk about people being so skilled making so much money but we forget the basic values. The person who treats everyone equally is much better than the one who is good with his skills and his job but doesn’t treat people well. And a few of my clients and even the employers who don’t treat everyone equally and it really hurts. This was a much needed reminder thank you Anthony Carlton

This idea is SO good! Or maybe introduce them to the janitor at your building. Character means a lot to me and my business
