This year’s NAIDOC Week theme is ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud’, honouring the enduring strength of First Nations culture and narratives. Fire symbolises connection to Country, to each other, and the traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We proudly stand with First Nations organisations through our ongoing partnerships and commitment to equality towards the unfinished goal of reconciliation. #NAIDOCWeek2024

Today is National Sorry Day in Australia. We acknowledge the mistreatment and continued effect of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from their families, communities and culture. We recognise the strength and resilience of Stolen Generation survivors and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in their journey to healing. Tomorrow marks the start of National Reconciliation Week. A time for us to reflect and listen, as to how we can all play a part towards a future that embraces all Australians. #sorryday2024
