During a 4-month sabbatical last summer, I had the opportunity to sail on the Tres Hombres, a unique engine-less cargo ship. It was a month of slowing down, finding inspiration, and discovering another new perspective after walking the Camino to Santiago de Compostela. As I sailed through the Biscay Bay, gazing up at the starry sky at night and spotting whales, I learned all about sailing the ship and how to climb to its extremities (ja ja). From the sea, I saw "Land-life" in a different way and realized the impact of our hectic lives on the planet. As a leader in logistics and supply chain, this experience has ignited my enthusiasm to make a substantial and positive impact on our planet in the years to come.
