What is cache or what does it mean when someone says "is it cached"? Caching is the process of storing files in a temporary storage location, so that they can be accessed more quickly. Hydrogen/Oxygen provides built-in caching to speed up Hydrogen storefronts without extra tooling. The problem with their setup today is that most default to `CacheShort()` because there isn't a cache-busting mechanism which means that you need to run a code deployment to see content updates. This sucks for a number of reasons but mainly because you're losing out on performance gains because the cache is resetting every 10 seconds. Last week we implemented a cache-busting solution using Cloudflare Workers - the approach utilizes a published-at timestamp using Cloudflare KV as part of the cache key when querying for content in Pack. Short story: You can now use `CacheLong()` across your storefront to get top performance gains while still receiving instant updates on content changes. Nothing groundbreaking here BUT it does unlock the marketer <> developer workflows to avoid the "my content isn't updating" scenario 😅 Thanks Benjamin Sehl for helping brainstorm some ideas on this one 🤘🏼 #cachemeoutside
