I just got my annual mammogram earlier this month because the American Cancer Society reminded me that women over age 40 should be screened annually. I encourage each of you to consider the cancer screenings you need in 2024 and get your appointments scheduled for the new year now! Remember, regular screening increases the chances of detecting certain cancers early, before cancer has a chance to spread. Cancer screening, cancer diagnosis, cancer treatment and cancer survival should not depend on countries, on postcodes, on maps, on streets, on cities or on any other sides or parts of Europe. The cancer care gap today is UNCONSCIONABLE when the percentage of women who never had a breast cancer screening in Romania is 71 times higher than in Finland. We have to rewrite the story of cancer: equal access, equal chance for every European. 

Donna, an ovarian cancer survivor, shares how celebrating every small victory helped her through her recovery.
