Today, I was listening to The Office Ladies Podcast (IYKYK) and received a valued piece of advice in preparation and flexibility In a recent episode of The Office Ladies Podcast, director Claire Scanlon shared a gem of advice that resonated deeply with me, particularly as it relates to sales. Piece of Advice #2: "Be as prepared as possible. Figure out what you want to do, but then be okay throwing it all away. Both things really help me in planning and the ability to adapt to better stuff that comes along, and just the vibe of being open to new stuff is good stage." While we may not be directing episodes of The Office, AE and SE are certainly putting on a performance. Like being on stage, we need thoughtful preparation, polish, and a well-thought-out plan for our demos. Yet, the true art lies in the ability to adapt seamlessly as the demo unfolds. 🚀 In our demo 'performance,' we must be ready to: - Uncover new needs that demand attention. - Extend our focus on a topic longer than anticipated. We have to be flexibility. It's the key to keeping the show running smoothly. Our ability to pivot in real-time and meet the evolving needs of our prospects is what sets us apart.
