Last week, our teams proudly raised the U.S. flag to celebrate a construction milestone at Ellsworth Air Force Base. The team who is constructing a Radio Frequency Facility to support the B-21 Raider held a topping off ceremony to commemorate the last structural beam being placed. Everyone working on the project signed the beam before it was placed and as per tradition, an evergreen tree was placed on the beam to signify the building has reached its final height. Mr. Pete Perez, the Chief of Engineering and Construction for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joined Conti Federal CEO, Pete Ceribelli to commemorate the occasion. Learn more about the ceremony at https://lnkd.in/e2SSB7Rk.

TechFlow's Pioneering Innovation Shapes the Future of #EVCharging for the U.S. Military The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has a massive fleet of over 170,000 vehicles classified as non-tactical, ranging in size from sedans to buses, and only a tiny fraction are EVs today. To meet its 2035 deadline and secure the long-term success of EV adoption in the U.S. #military, the #DoD must quickly develop state-of-the-art #charginginfrastructure specifically tailored to the distinctive requirements and massive scale of its upcoming #EVfleet. Happy birthday to the US Air Force! The U.S. Air Force was officially founded on 18 September 1947, and in the decades since it has established itself as an air force second-to-none. Between 1909 -- when that the US military purchased its first aircraft -- and 1947, the U.S. Air Force did not exist as a separate and independent military service organization. It went through a series of designations: Aeronautical Section, Signal Corps (1909); Aviation Section, Signal Corps (1914); United States Army Air Service (1918); United States Army Air Corps (1926), and United States Army Air Forces (1941). WWII illustrated the value of airpower, and the need to change the basic organization of the US Military Forces. The result was the creation of a single Department of Defense with a strong Joint Chiefs of Staff with Army, Navy, and Air Force chiefs. In 1947 President Truman signed the National Security Act which established this new defense organization, and along with it the creation of the US Air Force as an independent service, equal to the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. #proudveteran #goairforce #aimhigh #higherfurtherfaster

Veterans Education Advisor | Host & Producer of the Acknowledge 2 Action Podcast 🐦⬛ 🗝️| 🔥 Thought Motivator & Facilitator | U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Airman
Head in the clouds. The term Cloud ☁️ has a number of different meanings now. Today my head was literally in the clouds as was the rest of the C-130 aircrew. It was planned and intentional. We trusted our planning, coordination, equipment, and instruments. This trust is critical as is effective communications. As you can see it is very difficult to orient yourself when in the clouds. It takes critical awareness and attention to detail. Sometimes I find myself in the “clouds” unplanned or unintentional. I think it is fair to say we all do at times. When we find ourselves in the clouds, Acknowledge it and Accept it. This will help you Process in the moment to Plan to take appropriate Action. A-A-P-P-A https://lnkd.in/eEkv7DGV When you find yourself in the clouds believe in yourself, communicate with yourself and others, trust your “instruments” and your means to get back on solid ground. A special shout out to all Air National Guard, U.S. Army and Army National Guard, United States Air Force, Army, U.S. Navy Reserve and Marine Corps reservists. Many of us were on the grind this weekend getting it done. Keep it up. Your efforts, dedication and sacrifices are appreciated. Take time to remind yourself of this and keep your mind strong, healthy, prepared and balanced to deal with the “clouds”.
