I have some some big, exciting news to share. I have made the decision to sell mini mioche. This was the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make. mini mioche is not just a business or a brand, it’s a part of me. But I have come to realize that sometimes we need to let go of the parts of us that no longer serve us in the way that they once did. Letting go is not easy, especially when it’s of something that is so deeply meaningful, but it’s how we make space for the new parts of us to emerge.
mini mioche will always be a part of me, regardless of whether I own the company. (I will remain a shareholder and avid supporter). It has been the most significant and important growth experience of my life. Every part of it - the good, the bad, the fun and the challenging, has served its purpose throughout my journey. I can see that very clearly now.
I am so grateful for it all, and for every person who has been a part of it - past and present team members, our suppliers and our partners, many of whom have been with us since the very beginning 15 years ago. I am also beyond grateful for our incredible community of supporters. Every time someone tells me that they love the brand, or any time that I see a little one in our clothes, I feel an immense sense of pride because I know that what I created with mm is special. It truly was made with love. And now I’m letting it go with love.
What I want, more than anything, is for mini mioche to continue to thrive, to do amazing things and to have a positive impact in the world. When considering selling the company, the most important thing for me was that the person who acquired it aligned in terms of their values. They had to care about sustainability, the environment, and the planet that our children will inherit. They must believe in the importance of treating people fairly and kindly and they had to understand what it means to build a company with integrity – not just talking the talk, but actually walking the walk.
The new owner of mini mioche, Jacquelyn Corbett, has been a colleague, friend and supporter of mine, and she has been an avid and loyal customer of the brand for nearly 15 years. She truly understood and appreciated what mini mioche was all about from its earliest days and she has always seen the incredible potential of the brand. Jacquelyn has a clear, bold, exciting, ambitious vision for mm’s future which remains true to what the company has always been about – making the absolute best kids clothes in the world, in a way that supports and protects both people and the planet.
I’m very excited for this next chapter - for me, for Jacquelyn and for mini mioche – the possibilities are limitless. And I just want to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I’m forever grateful.
