Understanding the Legacy for Local Businesses' is an insightful report that delves into the legacy impact of the Games on our beloved region and businesses. 📊 Drawing from three years of research, individual interviews, and focus group sessions, the report captures the sentiments of local businesses towards the Games. It illustrates both the short and long-term effects and provides valuable suggestions to ensure that this legacy continues to thrive. 🤝 We're excited to be a part of this thriving community! At United By 2022 Charity, we understand the importance of positive change and how events like the Commonwealth Games contribute to it. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Stephen "Shed" Shedletzky for kicking off the second day of our 2024 DBIA-WPR Annual Conference. In our opening session, Shed introduced us to the concept of finite vs. infinite games and shared five key practices for cultivating an infinite game mindset. The five practices are: 1. Just Cause 2. Trusting Teams 3. Worthy Rival 4. Existential Flexibility 5. Courage to Lead We also enjoyed engaging in mini table discussions and hearing stories of those who shared. This helped us connect these practices to the design-build industry. Remember, we can't choose the game, we can't choose the rules, we can only choose how we play the game. #DBIAWPR24

This week, starting today until Saturday, PopGCED is delving into the world of The Hunger Games, a dystopian trilogy written by Suzzane Collins. PopGCED will demonstrate how the Hunger Games can be used to teach students about the importance of global citizenship education. By examining the The Hunger Games through this lens, students can develop a deeper understanding of the causes of conflict, the dynamics of violence, and the challenges of reconciliation and rebuilding after a war. Just woke up from a quick nap after the UKCGF Warwick convention. Working with Lisa Clarke , Jason Langley CNHC registered , new boy Corey Lower , and the whole UKCGF team always reminds me of the good souls in this industry I'm part of. The world of comic cons and gaming cons is changing. Some of these changes look promising, while others make me a bit uneasy. In the next few months this Industry will be a trying time. Being flexible and smart about our next moves is going to be key. When I look around, I wonder if our competitors are ready for these shifts. Talking to others in our field, it's clear we're all heading into some new territory. Now's a good time for straight-up chats & honest open dialogue. I've got a lot of respect for my colleagues, and I believe in Lisa and the UKCGF team. We've got what it takes to get through this. We've got challenges ahead, no doubt. But sticking together and making clear decisions will see us through.
