It's Nurses Week 😁 – Time to Celebrate and Reward our Healthcare Heroes! 👩⚕️ Nurses Week began on May 6 and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing. If you're familiar with the healthcare industry, you know the immense respect and affection we have for our nation's caregivers – nurses. 👨⚕️ Nobody works harder than nurses, and nobody makes more of a difference in people's lives than these dedicated professionals. Nurses are absolutely essential to what makes healthcare the best it can be – the care that patients need and deserve. Whether in 🤕 hospitals, 🤧 clinics, 🛌 home settings, or any other healthcare facility, nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system. We're not the only ones who love nurses. As the good people at Nursesweek.com said, "Everybody—and we mean everybody—loves nurses! Americans 🧡 love and trust their nurses. Every year, for 17 straight years, nurses rank at the very top of all professionals for ethics and honesty, according to Gallup. In fact, nobody else even comes close, with 84 percent of Americans giving nurses a top grade! #homecare #homehealthcare #nursefirst #nurse #travelnursing #hospicenurse #nurseleadership #teamwork #communication

Support systems are crucial for nurses and their well-being this could include mentorship programs for skill development and confidence building. Peer support groups provide spaces for sharing experiences and emotional support, reducing feelings of isolation. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) offer confidential counseling services to cope with work and life stress, while continuing education opportunities ensure nurses stay updated and advance their careers. Flexible work arrangements and wellness initiatives promote work-life balance and overall health. Celebrating nurses achievement and conflict resolution mechanisms further contribute to a supportive work environment, thereby empowering nurses to thrive. There are many more ways nurses can be supported. Nurses need more support! Good share Jose Arnold Tariga, PhD, MSN, RN, CNE, NPD-BC, CPHQ

This week, as we honor our incredible nurses who are at the forefront of healthcare, let's also focus on how we can better support them in their critical roles. The healthcare landscape has evolved dramatically over the years, yet the systems that support our nursing professionals often have not kept pace. Many nurses express a desire to step away from the bedside or even leave the profession altogether due to outdated practices and overwhelming work environments. It's a clear signal that change is overdue! As we appreciate the difference nurses make every day, we must also commit to innovating and updating the systems that support them. Let's use this Nurses Week to advocate for and implement new approaches that ensure our nurses have the resources, environment, and support they need to thrive. Together, we can ensure that our nurses continue to make a difference in the lives of so many. HAPPY NURSES WEEK! #NursesWeek #HealthcareInnovation #SupportNurses

Happy Emergency Nurses Day! We appreciate everything you do when it matters the most! Infor understands that even the smallest inefficiencies during an emergency can impact your ability to provide necessary care when it matters most. We conducted a survey where more than 1,000 nurses, charge nurses, nurse managers, CNAs, LPNs, and nurse practitioners were interviewed. With this data, we can see what is top priority from nursing leaders and learn how Infor is helping nurses get back to the bedside. https://bit.ly/48ScilB #InforWorkforceManagement #InforHealthcare #Emergencynursesday

President @ Global Care Management | Healthcare Staffing Subject Matter Expert - Case Management, Utilization, Quality, Appeals & Denials, Transfer Center, RN, SW & MD
Does it seem like we are all chasing the same pool of nurses? I have been recruiting case managers for over twenty five years. It seems we are always talking about the nursing shortage. Instead of increasing our pool of nurses the shortage only worsens. According to the American Hospital Association “About 100,000 registered nurses left the workforce during the past two years due to stress, burnout and retirements, and another 610,388 reported an intent to leave by 2027, according to a study released by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.” Read the article from Becker’s, many new nurses are barely giving their career a chance! Is your place of employment doing something different to keep you? #casemanager #nursing #hiring #nursingshortage #utilizationmanagement #globalcaremanagement
