We often underestimate the impact that underwear has on the impoverished within our society. This is worse especially in our part of the world where underwear is considered a non necessity, yet it's one source of dignity for human beings especially girls & women. Imagine those imprisoned women who have to share one panty during their periods because the prison facility doesn't give them freely yet some of those incarcerated do not receive guests for years? Even worse, picture a girl in rural Kenya who misses school during her menses because she cannot afford a panty or sanitary towels. As you consider giving during this holiday season, let your social responsibility not only focus on food & toiletries.
