Being able to support children like Ulrich is an amazing outcome of our recent partnership with the humanitarian organisation, Mercy Ships, that provides free surgical and medical care to people like Ulrich, who have no other source of help. For many people in low-income countries, surgery is simply not an option, either because it doesnโt exist or it is inaccessible. Onboard the two floating hospital ships, Mercy Ships provides safe surgery for free, transforming thousands of lives in every country it visits. Missionpharmaโs donation to Mercy Ships in financial year 2022/23 corresponds to 32 life-changing operations on board the ships. Ulrichโs story 12-year-old Ulrich was born with muscles in his legs that didnโt develop at the same rate as his bones, leaving his legs bent drastically backward. With no medical or surgical option, Ulrichโs future included being stared at, teased and ridiculed in addition to having to live with a lot of pain; a fate no child deserves. His mother was desperate to find Ulrich the surgery he needed, but the cost of surgery and the severity of his condition made it virtually impossible. But Mercy Ships gave him the free surgery that changed his life forever! After several complex surgeries, Ulrich woke up to two newly straightened legs and Ulrich is excited to look his future in the eye and work towards his dream of getting an education. #mercyships #hospitalships #partnership #missionforbetterhealth

Let's talk about anatomical gifting โ a topic that might sound a bit daunting, but it's incredibly important and altruistic. Essentially, anatomical gifting is the generous act of donating one's body, tissues, or organs after death for medical education, research, or transplantation purposes. By choosing to make an anatomical gift, individuals contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and the improvement of healthcare practices. Medical students rely on donated bodies to learn anatomy and surgical techniques, while researchers use donated tissues to develop new treatments and therapies for various conditions and diseases. You can choose to donate any or only some of your organs, and for any purpose or a limited purpose such as only organ transplant, but not medical science. Making an anatomical gift is a deeply personal decision, and it's crucial to discuss it with loved ones and ensure it's documented in legal paperwork, such as a living will or advance directive. This ensures that your wishes are honored and carried out according to your preferences. If you're considering making an anatomical gift, take the time to research your options and discuss them with your family and healthcare provider. Your decision could leave a lasting legacy of compassion and contribution to the future of medicine. #glastonburyestateplanning #khklaw

Passionate about shepherding and protecting working middle class families from the misaligned incentives of the healthcare industry - Health Rosetta Practitioner
We need you to pay us in full first. Our non-profit status in 2024 says money comes first and your well-being comes second. We can't really tell you the price, but we cannot schedule you until you provide a credit card authorization for whatever the charges end up being. PS. We're a major academic medical center ranked for world-class care; therefore, we don't take cash pay either. You must have a network logo to schedule with us. We don't accept physician-only networks, sharing ministry coverages, or private pay unless youโre foreign royalty, etc. Go seek care at another hospital who needs your money... #nonprofithospitals #corporatemedicine #healthcare #congress

With ๐๐๐๐, they find sponsors to support charity missions in specific areas of need across the globe. Last year, one of their big projects was to help the organization ๐๐๐๐, which educates and trains African doctors on new techniques, collecting equipment, and making extended documentation to help ๐๐๐๐'s future missions. Last June, it was ๐๐๐๐'s 5th mission and by far the largest, with results exceeding all expectations. During the 2-week visit, they were able to: ๐Communicate and demonstrate micro neurosurgery principles in general and specific intra-operative techniques. ๐Train OR staff in micro neurosurgical instrumentation and specific micro neurosurgical equipment handling. ๐Operate 22 cases and assess 123 patients in an outpatient clinic. ๐Teach a comprehensive course on pre-, peri-, and post-operative dedicated neurosurgical care, including hands-on training in a neuro-intermediate care ward developed during the mission (!). ๐Provide special training for spinal cord injury patients by an occupational therapist. ๐Assess existing equipment and several pieces of vital importance received maintenance and repair by a biomedical engineer. ๐Host a symposium on the topics of epilepsy and global neurosurgery on June 13 with lecturers from the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) and the SANC team. Since then, ๐๐๐๐ has had monthly follow-up meetings on the patient's status. The ground foundation of ๐๐๐๐ is to show the world that ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐.
