Congratulations to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, and St. Anthony Summit Hospital in Frisco for earning an “A” grade on the 2024-25 Lown Institute Hospitals Index. The independent ranking system measures 3,500 hospitals across the nation on metrics of health equity, patient outcomes, and value of care. “Great care is only great if everyone can access it,” said Vikas Saini, MD, president of the Lown Institute. “We need hospitals that are not only leaders in clinical care, but also strong community partners — and these socially responsible hospitals are showing the way."

On this #FourthOfJuly, we celebrate the freedom that allows us to thrive, and we honor the men and women who have given their lives for that freedom. We hope today is one for connecting with family, friends and community. And to all those who are serving their communities today - including many of our caregivers - we offer our sincere gratitude. #HappyIndependenceDay #Hellohumankindness

"Humankindness might be a new term, but it's not something that's new to us. Humankindness is just an everyday thing that happens here, and it is contagious because I practice and see it every day." Thank you, Fernando! #Hellohumankindness

We are pleased to announce that Josh Neff will join CommonSpirit Mercy Hospital’s 143-year legacy of care in Durango and the Four Corners Region by serving as its Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1. Josh brings vast knowledge and expertise to rural health care and understands the importance of keeping medical care close to home. He currently serves as both the CEO of CommonSpirit St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan and as Vice President of Integration and Rural Health for our Mountain Region. Josh joined CommonSpirit in 2018, and throughout his career with our ministry has focused on growing much-needed services in our rural communities. During his time at St. Elizabeth Hospital, he opened a 6-bed ICU, launched a voluntary detox program and added critical care helicopter service through Flight For Life Colorado. At the same time, Josh has supported a team of critical access hospital CEOs, and successfully implemented operational and turn-around plans to create long-term sustainability for our 16 affiliate hospitals. We look forward to a seamless transition for Mercy Hospital and are immediately starting the recruitment process for our next leader to build on the success at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Congratulations, Josh! https://lnkd.in/g_u4XgUv
