The annual Solar Energy Industries Association datasheet was recently published and here are some key statistics: (a) over 260,000 Americans employed in the industry; (b) 4.9 million separate installations, representing 179GW total capacity; (c) these installations prevent ~200 million metric tons of #co2 per year. Of the ten states with the most solar installations, nearly half of the capacity (46%) is in traditionally "red" states, demonstrating the unifying power of #energy from the sun! #solar

Today, we’re excited to partner with two world-class companies, Collins Aerospace and Luminace, to support a portfolio of four new community solar projects across the greater Portland area. In aggregate, the projects have a capacity of 12 megawatts and will generate 17 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year. Clean electricity from the projects will flow directly to the electric grid and replace fossil fuel generation, thereby lowering carbon emissions and benefiting the broader Portland community. https://lnkd.in/efZdJU7q
