This weekend was filled with #fun and #educational experiences for our Youth Tour students! On Friday, they had the #opportunity to explore historical sites such as the Navy Memorial, National Archives, and Smithsonian Museums. Saturday was the final day of Youth Tour and #students were soaking in the last moments of their trip! They started their day by #touring the World War II, Vietnam, Lincoln, and Korean Memorials. Then, they visited the Holocaust Memorial Museum and toured Arlington National Cemetery. Finally, they ended their trip with a night out in National Harbor, where they enjoyed dinner and a Ferris wheel ride with their newly found lifelong #friends. 🎡

American Nazis, white nationalists etc continue to make themselves seen. Perhaps they sincerely hope to “enlighten” the “uneducated”masses? They spread messages of hate whose foundation is built on pure ignorance and disproven conspiracy theories. These conspiracy theories, such as the Qanon insanity, are alive and well on various social media platforms and chat rooms where conspiracy theories flow unchecked. Unfortunately these messages have seeped into mainstream thought and swirl around the minds of many far-right lawmakers. The people that follow these extreme ideologies present a danger to our communities and to law enforcement personnel. Sadly, extremists can be found amongst our military and LEOs. Thankfully the numbers appear to be small. The very far-left isn’t far behind (no pun intended) but their ire is often directed towards the existence of a Jewish homeland and don’t pose a clear and present threat to democracy as a whole. Although many do believe antisemitic conspiracies and outright lies based on incomplete facts.
On Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people, these two men stood outside of the Dallas Holocaust museum holding up antisemitic Nazi like caricatures.

This one article actually really annoyed me by what it brought up. And I am basically posting my comment on the original post. But seriously… It's really baffling to think why anyone would suggest that Indigenous casualties of the Frontier Wars should not be honored at the Australian War Memorial simply because they didn't fight "in uniform." It’s the actions anyway that should be honoured, not how people were dressed. Though what others wear should be respected. Are they really going to undermine people that fought and died for their country and its people over it? That is taking away from respecting the soldiers bravery and sacrifice. The War Memorial absolutely should recognize the efforts of "ununiformed" individuals, like the Dayak people. So, what’s the big deal in this context? The First Nations "guerilla campaigns" of the Frontier Wars in the War Memorial would be a powerful way to acknowledge the historical significance of these conflicts and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by Indigenous Australians. It's about embracing a more comprehensive understanding of Australia's military history and honoring all those who played a part, regardless of whether they wore a “traditional” uniform or not. And if they really want to get into it… technically they were wearing Australia’s true traditional war uniforms. You can only imagine how other soliders or even their families would feel if their effort and sacrifices were undermined by someone who would consider what they were wearing and how they were defending their country and families not worthy of respect?

Last year, chair of the Australian War Memorial Kim Beazley called for First Nations “guerilla campaigns” of the Frontier Wars to be included in the Australian War Memorial. His bid was criticised by the RSL Australia’s president Major General Greg Melick. They argued Indigenous casualties of the Frontier Wars could not be honoured at the War Memorial because they did not fight “in uniform”. But the Australian War Memorial already honours “ununiformed” First Nations soldiers – namely Dayak people who assisted in Borneo during World War 2.

🌍 World War II History: On May 31, 1962, Adolf Eichmann, a central figure responsible for implementing the Final Solution plan during World War II, was executed by hanging in Ramla prison. His role in orchestrating the logistics of the Holocaust made him a symbol of Nazi atrocities. Eichmann's execution, occurring at 23:58, marked a significant moment in the pursuit of justice and accountability for war crimes committed during one of humanity's darkest chapters. #HistoricalJustice #HolocaustRemembrance HaJunk - Business Development
