Yesterday was an exciting day for students participating in the National Rural Electric Youth Tour. They started their trip in #Denver, where they toured the Colorado State Capitol and heard from legislative leaders. Then, students ended the day with a visit to United Power, Inc., where they viewed a high-voltage safety presentation and learned more about electric #cooperatives. Next stop, Washington, D.C.! Stay tuned to CREA's social media channels for more Youth Tour updates.

Electric buses aren’t cutting it. Over priced, not reliable, still use diesel to heat the kids… They aren’t being purchased… What is reliable, what works and is cost effective for operators and school districts is propane school buses… Give the electric bus another 14 years…buy a propane bus and lower your emissions today and get the kids to school.
Senator Aric Nesbitt tweeted (https://ow.ly/ZSg950QrQZY): @downi75 lays it all out there. Whether it’s the high costs to taxpayers or the lack of reliability, it’s clear this electric school bus experiment is an absolute failure. https://ow.ly/a61450QrQUN via Detroit News Electric school bus expansion is as silly as subsidized natural gas expansion to rural Michigan.
