Public Service Announcement Apparently there are some scammers impersonating Collinwood Technology Partners. Their scam is pretty elaborate and their correspondence with multiple candidates has been detailed. They use our company logo, have extended fake offer letters, conduct extensive interviews (via email), use a website and email addresses that are very similar to our real one, etc. If you recently were contacted by these people or received an "offer", it is scam. My team has no part in this. I assume they're trying to get your sensitive information (ssn, bank acct info, etc) during "fake onboarding". Report this and send all email history/correspondence to the authorities in your area. I'm not sure if this is an Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or Police matter... but they need to be stopped. The following people below are NOT my employees or authorized to conduct business in our name. Information on scam indicators according to categories can help in recognizing and preventing potential scams. Here are common red flags grouped by type: Employment-Related Scams: - Being asked for payments for job-related expenses before being officially hired - Job offers with high pay for minimal work or without a proper interview process - Job descriptions that are vague or lacking in detail - Communications that contain numerous spelling and grammar errors or come from personal email accounts - Urging quick action on decisions or payments - Early requests for sensitive personal or financial information - Offering job contracts that look unprofessional or lack detail Communication and Document Scams: - Difficulty verifying the company's contact information - Receiving job offers without having applied or expressed interest - Companies with no online presence or poorly constructed websites - Interviews conducted only through text or chat services Financial and Payment Scams: - Requests for money transfer through unconventional methods like wire transfers or cryptocurrency - Scams involving advance fees or overpayment where you are asked to refund the difference - Scams related to remote positions that insist on purchasing specific equipment Online and Digital Scams: - Job listings that are unprofessional in appearance - Links leading to unsecure websites - Phishing attempts using social media or emails that mimic trusted institutions - Promotions of quick-rich schemes Urgency and Pressure Scams: - Creating a false sense of urgency around business opportunities or job offers - High-pressure sales tactics or manipulation techniques Miscellaneous Scams: - Impersonation of legitimate businesses or government officials - Involvement in pyramid schemes or reshipping goods - Real estate listings requesting deposits before viewing the property - Offers to buy real estate unsolicited, especially at below market value Protective Measures: - Taking a moment to consider the legitimacy of an opportunity - Verifying the legitimacy of offers or requests using independent sources - Protecting personal and financial information - Seeking opinions from trusted friends, family, or professionals - Reporting scams to relevant authorities Being aware of these warning signs and taking protective actions can help you navigate safely and avoid becoming a victim of fraud. Always approach unsolicited offers with skepticism and conduct thorough research before proceeding.

No, I wasn't contacted by someone at the Daily Wire. I haven't applied for any jobs with them, much less expressed any interest in the Daily Wire. This is an all-too-typical scam email. Like I said, I haven't applied for any jobs with them, so that's one red flag. Another is the idea that anyone will send an email the day before they want you to interview with them. The recurring techniques are there: 1) an email address that sounds like the company that the scammers are impersonating. The domains used don't lead anywhere if you check. 2) the scammers often use the names of actual employees of the real company. In this case, there is a real "Frank J. Fleming" who works as a scripted creator at the Daily Wire, rather than a recruiter.
