As we celebrate #PrideMonth, let's talk about how different types of therapy can help the LGBTQ+ community. For those who may want more than the traditional talk therapy, #somatictherapy is an alternative option, as it uses the mind-body connection to help individuals in their journey of healing, whether they're processing trauma or discovering more about themselves and their identity. LGBTQ+ individuals, who often experience disconnection from their bodies due to societal pressures, past traumas, or dysmorphia, find somatic therapy: - Provides a safe, affirming environment - Helps them develop trust within their bodies - Allows them to explore their unique identities - Fosters self-acceptance, self-love, and a sense of belonging

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and recognize the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance. As a psychology student, I understand the profound impact that social acceptance and mental health support can have on individuals' well-being. Pride Month is not just about celebrating identities; it is also a call to action to address the mental health challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Studies show that LGBTQ+ individuals are at a higher risk for mental health issues due to stigma, discrimination, and lack of support. As future psychologists, it is crucial for us to advocate for inclusive practices and create safe spaces where everyone can thrive. This month, let's commit to learning more about the unique experiences and needs of the LGBTQ+ community. Let's use our knowledge to foster acceptance, provide compassionate care, and promote mental wellness for all. Happy Pride Month! 🌈 #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #MentalHealth #Psychology #InclusiveCare https://lnkd.in/e9pGbu8x

Some “leaders” thrive on their constituents’ ignorance, lack of empathy, fragility, and scarcity mindset because fear induces many psychological triggers. When you keep people pumped up with anxiety and fear of “others”and pretend that you have the solutions to keep them safe, you can control them. These tactics are simple and obviously at play all around us. Rise above fear-based thinking by seeking opportunities like a true active risk manager.
