I've had a bloody good week. Had a chance to come to Singapore to speak with the genuinely wonderful peeps at AWS, a group of whip-smart marketers from India, Korea, Japan, ASEAN and ANZ. I want to describe them all with a list of superlatives as long as my arm... dynamic, engaged, engaging, exciting, insightful, curious, etc. Most of all though, I come away grateful for how incredibly welcoming, caring, and accomodating they all were. I walked into a room of 160ish strangers, and immediately felt acknowledged, included and welcome. It's been legitimately wonderful. For my own contribution, hopefully everyone got as much out of it as my new friend Arya Roy did!
Its been an exhilarating week in Singapore with the AWS Marketing dream team from across Asia Pacific and Japan! 🚀 We came together for an epic 3-day offsite filled with learning, bonding, and building. From strategizing on the cutting-edge potential of generative AI in marketing to an adrenaline-pumping scavenger hunt at Universal Studios Singapore, we packed in a whole lot of fun and innovation. The laughter and shared experiences have been truly unforgettable! Also, the cherry on the cake was winning the group exercise fueled by the urge to gain #Respect. A standout moment for me personally was the insightful session by Col Fink on 'Discovering Meaning in Logic and Connection.' It made me ponder deeply whether I'm a right-brain or left-brain marketer (X-axis) and if I lean towards thinking big or being detail-oriented (Y-axis). And finally do check where i and some of the other Leadership team (LT) members sit within the four quadrants of this framework. Truly thought-provoking! As Steve Jobs once said, "Great things in business are never done by one person; they're done by a team of people." Our #AWSStartup and #GenAI team’s dedication, creativity, and commitment is what sets us apart and drives our success. I'm beyond grateful to be part of such a passionate and dynamic group. To my AWS APJ Marketing family, you inspire me every day. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries and redefining what’s possible in tech marketing. Here’s to more collaboration, celebration, and game-changing innovation ahead! 🎉 "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." - Helen Keller Thanks to 1.Felicity Witt for organising everything! 2.My entire startup team and my dynamic manager Ben Hillman for being a role model, for always supporting me and my growth. 3.Emma Dart for just being wonderfully herself and showing me immense generosity by giving me the opportunity to buddy up and share the stage with her. 4.
