There are many programs for making streets safer. Here's a brief review of each of them. The unfortunate part is that they don't seem to be making a positive impact. How long do we keep working on programs that don't reduce the fatalities? How much taxpayer money do we keep spending? While advocates hope federal funding can fix the problems, HOPE is not a strategy. These issues require a systematic approach led by a single organization, who can work them from identification to resolution to monitoring and measuring. CRASH360 is much faster and far cheaper. #CRASH360 #pedestriansafety https://lnkd.in/gaPkatqM

We have all seen fun door camera footage of squirrels leaving gifts, the joy of a loved one’s surprise visit, marriage proposals, and cute animal clips. We also know that security cameras increase peace of mind. For survivors, these devices add something even more by offering a layer of safety and peace of mind in their new home. Vote for CWS at https://lnkd.in/gGutskQp Beyond the immediate threat of harm, domestic violence disrupts entire families, creates unsafe living environments, and threatens housing and financial stability. Survivors often must navigate complicated and chaotic household dynamics while they work to restore autonomy, independence, stability, and a sense of safety. Security cameras can be a game changer for survivors, which is why we’re asking you to vote for CWS today and everyday through Monday, June 17th at 5 PM. Vote for CWS at https://lnkd.in/gGutskQp Remember: 1) After you select CWS, scroll down to enter your email, then press the Enter button. Your vote isn’t counted until you submit your email (to ensure only one vote per day), and 2) Be sure to refresh the webpage to vote again the next day if you leave the page open in your web browser. Advantis Credit Union is giving away grants to organizations that make a difference in Oregon, and you can help us secure a grant by voting today and every day through June 17th at 5 PM. It’s easy to vote and only takes a moment. Your support means so much! #SupportSurvivors #ClackamasCounty #PortlandOregon #Oregon #cwsor
