Last month I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I am super grateful for the valuable experience and lessons I have learn over the past 4 years.
I am thrilled to share that I've begun working remotely with the scouting department of the Cleveland Browns as an external film analyst. Alongside this role, I am also contributing as an intern to the Browns research and strategy team. It's an incredible opportunity to further my journey in football scouting and analytics, and I couldn't be more excited!
Shubham Kamble, batch of '25, commenced his summer internship at Landstack - Center for Land!
This internship provides Shubham with an exceptional opportunity to engage in crucial research and fieldwork focused on land administration and its socio-economic impacts.
As a Research Intern at Landstack, Shubham's responsibilities are diverse and impactful. He will conduct a comprehensive literature review to gather relevant research and information on land administration, technology implementation, and their socio-economic implications. This foundational work will set the stage for his field activities.
Shubham will conduct fieldwork in the states of Odisha, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, India, to gather primary data related to land administration schemes. His work will involve both quantitative and qualitative data analysis to identify trends and insights, contributing to a deeper understanding of the current land administration landscape.
In collaboration with his team, Shubham will synthesize findings and contribute to research reports and presentations, ensuring that the insights gained are effectively communicated to inform policy and practice.
Landstack - Center for Land focuses on the interfaces between technology and land administration, unraveling ground processes and impacts for more informed policy and practice. Land administration involves managing textual and spatial records detailing rights and territorial extents. Each nation faces unique challenges in land administration, shaped by history, social norms, demography, topography, and land use.
While technology offers promising solutions, the project aims to highlight the nuanced aspects of technology in land administration, especially in the global south and India. Implementing technology in Indian land administration faces challenges, with limited regions surveyed and few states possessing updated land records. India's diverse land tenure systems add complexity, compounded by historical administrative legacies and various tenure systems.
Shubham's project focuses on evaluating the implementation of key land administration schemes, namely DILRMP, SVAMITVA, OLRSD, and FRA, in the states of Odisha, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, India.
We , Regulatory Policy & Governance - TISS Mumbai, wish him success in his research endeavors!

Global Leader in Women's Empowerment and Girl Child Innovation (Widows and Female Head of households )| FEMPower Advocate | Passionate about Financial Inclusion and Community Leadership for women and girls
Heyy...
Last week, an incredible and heartwarming event happened to me. The daughter of one of the Beneficiary widows I met back in SS1, through our "Adopt a Widow" initiative, she was awarded a scholarship to study at OAU.
And now, the most amazing part is that she's interning with us! I can't express enough how thankful I am to God for this remarkable journey. It's truly a testament to the power of compassion and support in changing lives
My final article that was posted today marked the end of my summer internship with Softball America. It was a great experience to be able to write about some of the best collegiate softball players in the nation.

#PBL believe that it is good sense to invest in the future.
If you follow us you may have seen we have invested time and resources into capabilities, equipment and facilities to ensure we are able to service the industry as best as possible...
However, what about the people of the future?
In the spring we were approached out of the blue by a #universityofwestofengland student, who wished to gain some hands on experience working in the #defense industry to progress to her career in forensic ballistics. The summer PBL #Internship was created and we welcomed Grace Innocent onto the team
We recently asked Grace her thoughts and here is what she said...
"The field of ballistics presents you with all sorts of opportunities, chief among them in my time at PBL has been learning to look at everything through a scientific lens, so that we can ask questions, solve problems, and watch how it all applies to real world research. New advancements are made every day, from armour to ammo. We also have a wide range of techniques available to test the performance of these new advancements. Being able to participate in testing and conduct meaningful, hands-on laboratory work that utilizes these techniques has helped prepare me for what I hope will be a long career in ballistic forensics.
Following an 11% increase in firearm offenses from 2021 to 2022; reported by the office for national statistics to be largely caused by the growing presence of imitation firearms, gun crime in the UK has become a growing threat. Facilities that can provide a scientific approach to solving gun crime will be crucial in countering it, as with the application of ballistics knowledge to police work.
Where will the contemporary trends in firearm crime and conflict lead? It is difficult to say, but when you have the right team and the right approach, every stride you take in the lab can make a difference."
With two more months left until Grace returns back to her studies we look forward to giving as much exposure as possible to enable Grace to start her #ballistics journey.
When I started my new job about seven months ago my son began his sophomore year of high school. As luck would have it, they were on the same day and I had to travel to Arizona during the first day of school.
Since starting my son:
1. Ran away from school, almost got hit by a car (as he was running away) and was found by the police.
2. Got in trouble with the law and picked up new charges.
3. We as a family endured a great deal of teen drama that added a few white hairs to sparse collection of hair on my head and facial hair.
4. My son was thrown out of this third school.
During this time I have also:
1. Achieved great milestones in my professional career.
2. Learned to challenge that I thought was the status quo and grown professionally.
3. I am spending more and more time out of my comfort zone as I help navigate the organization to greater efficiencies.
4. Achieved the highest levels of professional performance in years.
How?
Two things:
1. When I need to take time off for a family issue my leadership simply said go and deal with it.
2. When I needed to talk thru things my leadership and other members of the organization always made time for me.
I say this because we all hear that a few kind words and kind actions speak volumes and pay dividends.
The intent of this post is to give a specific example of what happens in reality when we are kind.
I for one will never forget the compassion shown to me when I needed it the most. As a result, I repay it daily with a zeal for what I do and my job.

I chose this article because it resonates with my current experience as a recent college graduate. It offers valuable insights into the various paths and challenges that graduates face, which mirrors my journey as I navigate the post-college landscape and explore opportunities to grow within a corporate setting.
