Find Your Marketing Guru! In the fast-paced and increasingly competitive world of IT, it's getting harder to stand out and reach the right audience with highly specialized services and products. Here’s the brutal truth, dear CEO of a deep tech start-up: No matter how great your product is and how much you know and love it, you need to spread the news about it. In other words, you need to market it. One of the best things you can do to make this happen is to hire marketing experts with a solid and suitable background in your niche. But it’s easier said than done, and we know it. So here are 3 points to keep in mind while searching for your marketing specialists: 1. Industry Background: Do not search for just any marketer - search for one with the specific industry experience required to understand and target competition and niche markets. 2. Technical Expertise: Try to find specialists with suitable knowledge and interests. A lack of technical expertise can lead to misunderstandings, mistakes, and PR issues. 3.Talent Competition: High demand for skilled marketers means tech companies often compete with other sectors, driving up costs. Take this into consideration while planning your budget. Sounds overwhelming? Yeah, we know. But here’s what you can do to make your life easier and your marketing more cost- and time-effective: Leave the search for a marketing specialist with suitable knowledge and background to Collabee. Paul. I just don't have time or big budget for marketing. I'd love to. But just can't justify marketing, I'm too busy with sales. Some of the feedback I get from ex-colleagues. What about generating leads from all of the old clients and candidates on your database, LinkedIn, spreadsheets and top drawers. That's marketing as well 👀 Spend £1 on that marketing campaign and see a ROI of 10+ I've never been a Tik-Tok type of marketer. I've only ever been a build your marketing campaigns out from the people that already know you and you know them. Cost effective marketing. That is the amplifying effect of marketing, taking it from 1-2-1 to 1-2-many. That's why I devised and set up a contractor retention / customer success team, in a previous role as marketing director at a recruitment firm. Doing GTM before it became cool. Marketing does not and should not be expensive. Start small. Reach out to me to discuss Marmalade Marketing's new service about re-engaging with your lapsed clients and candidates. A cost effective way of starting your marketing journey. 🔥 My name is Paul - 24+ years in marketing. I will help GROW your business through marketing. "Dispelling the myth: Marketing isn't just an expensive cost, but a catalyst of growth and innovation. Embrace the power of ideas and position yourself as a revenue driver in any business climate." Often in many businesses marketing is seen as an expensive cost. A luxury for the good times. Marketing isn't about the $$$ spend it's about the ideas. Be seen as a revenue driver with ideas. Here's a quote from my Marketing quotes series on LinkedIn, this is no 52. ‘We Have Run Out Of Money; Now We Have to Think’ Winston Churchill. For me it means that good marketing isn't about budgets, it's about good ideas. You can now compete with the smallest of budgets and get closer to driving sales, easier than ever before. Here is one of the ideas from my "30 ideas for marketing activity for under £1,000 in your recruitment company". >>> Spend £1,000 on learning as much as you can about Employer Brand and EVP. Put together a simple product for EVP that can be sold as an extra to clients. Think candidate packs, landing pages, stories, FAQs, Glassdoor reviews, benchmarking. Real value-add stuff. This could be sold to clients for additional revenue. Sell 10 of them with your consultants and you'll be a hero. I've got 40 or more ideas for marketing activity for under £1,000 in your recruitment company. All built from my trial and error of 13 years in recruitment marketing at 4 different rec companies. Just DM and I'll send them over. 💰 💰 💰 🔥 My name is Paul, I'm a marketing consultant. CMO for HIRE - flexible marketing services. Ignite your marketing: amplify your sales. 👍 👍 Liked this post? Marketing for non-resourceful companies with minimal or zero budgets can indeed present significant challenges and potentially hinder career growth, particularly for marketing professionals tasked with driving sales and achieving tangible results. Here's why: Limited Reach and Visibility: Without sufficient resources allocated to marketing efforts, non-resourceful companies may struggle to reach their target audience effectively. This limitation can result in low brand visibility, reduced market penetration, and limited exposure to potential customers, ultimately hindering sales growth. Inability to Execute Strategic Initiatives: Marketing professionals rely on resources to execute strategic initiatives such as advertising campaigns, content creation, social media marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO). Without adequate funding, it becomes challenging to implement these initiatives effectively, resulting in missed opportunities to engage with prospects and drive conversions. Lack of Competitive Advantage: In today's competitive landscape, companies must differentiate themselves from competitors to stand out in the market. However, non-resourceful companies with limited marketing budgets may struggle to invest in innovative strategies, compelling messaging, and compelling offers that differentiate their brand and products from competitors. This lack of differentiation can impede sales growth and limit career advancement opportunities for marketing professionals. Ineffective Measurement and ROI: Without sufficient resources allocated to marketing, non-resourceful companies may struggle to measure the effectiveness of their marketing efforts and calculate return on investment (ROI). This makes it difficult for marketing professionals to demonstrate the impact of their work on business outcomes such as lead generation, sales revenue, and customer acquisition, which can hinder career advancement and recognition within the organization. Professional Development Opportunities: Marketing professionals thrive in environments where they can develop their skills, explore new strategies, and drive meaningful results. However, working for non-resourceful companies with minimal marketing budgets may limit opportunities for professional growth and development. Without access to training, mentorship, and resources, marketing professionals may find it challenging to expand their skill set and advance their careers. In conclusion, marketing for non-resourceful companies with minimal or zero budgets can pose significant challenges for marketing professionals and hinder career growth due to limited reach and visibility, an inability to execute strategic initiatives, a lack of competitive advantage, ineffective measurement and ROI, and limited professional development opportunities. #Marketing365 #Marketing #BusinessDevelopmentMarketingAndAdvertising #Advertising #PropertyManager #MarketingLikeCrazy #CrazyMarketingTechniques #StrategiesToMarket

MarketinGO Founder | Follow me for valuable insights on how to lead your marketing strategy and team effectively
𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺? If you are a non-marketing leader who wants to learn how to build a successful marketing team, this video is for you. I received a question from Terry, who asked me who should he hire first when he needs help with his marketing. My answer is: If you are not sure what marketing strategy or tactics will work best for your business, you need to hire a fractional CMO or a strategic marketer first. They will help you define your marketing goals, target audience, value proposition, and channels. But if you already have a clear idea of what marketing tactic will bring you the most results, you can skip the strategist and hire a specialist directly. For example, if you know that SEO, PPC, or cold outreach are the best ways to reach your potential customers, you can hire an expert in those fields and let them do their magic. Of course, this is a simplified answer, and there are many factors to consider when hiring your first marketing team member. What do you think? Who did you hire first for your marketing team? Let me know in the comments below. 👇 And if you want more valuable insights on how to lead your marketing strategy and team effectively, follow me and stay tuned for more content. 😊 - - - Thank you for reading. Implementing my signature Business System into growing businesses so they can scale to the next level efficiently and effectively. Organize AND operate your entire business under one roof. Continue growing sustainably.
A few years into building my first business I started getting asked to come work for other business's and help them with their Marketing. I then went down the rabbit hole of Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Manager, VP of Marketing, and Marketing Consultant. _ I was definitely cut out for Marketing, especially in terms of taking a business's foundation and optimizing it, but as time went on I started to realize that in order to produce stellar results for the projects I was working on, it always resulted in me being utterly exhausted. Like I was fulfilling the role of 2-3 jobs, but couldn't figure out what the other jobs were. I just thought that what I was doing was Marketing. _ In June 2022 I was determined to figure out what it was I was really doing so I printed off 200+ pages of my previous work engagements and I dissected all of those pages. _ That's when the answer came to the surface. _ Yes, I was good at Marketing. But I was good at Marketing because I was GREAT at documenting, analyzing, and building processes. _ Documenting was first and foremost my "schtick" and publishing successful Marketing campaigns into the marketplace was a benefit of me leaning into my "schtick." _ When I made that realization, I pivoted the work I did for companies and leaned hard into focusing my attention on building documentation protocols and processes for companies. _ Why? Because if your business is properly documenting, analyzing, and implementing effective processes, things like producing effective Marketing campaigns (and continuing to produce effective Marketing campaigns) becomes a hell of a lot easier. _ I do the unsexy work so when it's time to do the sexy work, the sexy work...works.

Stop neglecting your marketing. It's the lifeblood of your business. Are you attempting to juggle marketing efforts alongside your day-to-day operations? Running your marketing “on-the-side” while handling administrative tasks, customer acquisition, relationship management, product/service development & delivery, plus managing employees… The results typically look something like this: 1. The marketing tasks take up way too much time, effort and resources, so your business suffers. 2. Your marketing efforts become something you try to “fit in”, driving mediocre results at best. Effective marketing is a full-time job that benefits from a team approach. From SEO specialists to social media managers, content creators to email marketers, each role contributes to marketing success, but assembling these experts in-house is challenging and costly. Partnering with Entrepreneur’s Edge provides access to a talented marketing team, managed by a Fractional CMO (me) — at a fraction of the cost. Want to grow your website traffic? Generate more leads? Improve your social media engagement? Get actual replies to your emails? I know the answer is, YES. And with my comprehensive marketing team, you don't have to compromise. When you're ready to discuss your business goals and how my fractional CMO & #marketingservices can help you achieve those goals, DM me and we'll chat. #marketingagency #marketingfirm
