#Influencermarketing was a concept that emerged prior to the creation of the internet, but through the rapid growth of the online world and channels like Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok, online celebrities AKA Influencers became more widely known. Consider the PewDiePies, MrBeasts, Charli D'Amelios, Bella Poarchs, and the Addison Raes of the world who at one point reached #viralcontent status and thus obtained sponsorships and exclusive deals. Influencers like these often state that there is no "off" button for them, no breaks from content creation, and no sincerity or authentic interest in the brands and products they are promoting - which is quickly sniffed out by their audiences. While this pressure is certainly true for Macro and Mega Influencers, the growing pattern of content creator burnout should serve brands as a warning to be selective in their Influencer Marketing strategy carefully. Brands should choose to work with a mix of influencers, some large and some small enough to still connect with their audience and have authentic interest in your product. Why are influencer-affiliate communities the biggest marketing whitespace for brands in 2024? The simple answer is that it leverages the top 3 benefits from working with influencers under one integrated approach. 1. Authentic sponsored content at scale Work with 100's to 1000's of influencers that are creating sponsored content for your brand on a monthly basis. We tend to focus on influencers that have a 10% engagement rate on instagram stories. Instagram story content is also the highest converting content placement and the cheapest to execute with influencers. 2. Build an army of influencer-affiliates Influencers are incentivized and rewarded for creating more content and driving sales.
