"I don't mean to complain, but..." Those words drive me crazy! “So go do something about it!” That’s what the little voice in me that wants to say. Yet, I usually bite my tongue and simply listen. She wasn’t happy with her first course. It became the topic for the rest of our evening. Fine. I get it. Complaining relieve stress. But personally, I’m done complaining. I'm the driver of my life. Life is happening "for" me. Not "to" me. To me, in any situation, there are two choices: ✅ Find peace and acceptance. ✅ Take action, even the tiniest step. This shift can transform your mindset and mood. So, let's pause the complaints. Complaining doesn't serve anyone. Instead, this week, try: 🔹 Catching yourself before you complain. 🔹 Asking yourself if it serves you or others. Awareness is the first step to meaningful change. Are you struggling with procrastination? As a coach, many of my clients face the same challenge. Here’s how I help them to understand and solve this challenge: ~Be kind to yourself. Show yourself compassion and forgive yourself for putting off whatever it is you need to do but aren’t doing. ~Identify WHY you are procrastinating. Be honest and dig deep to uncover the biggest obstacles holding you back. What do you feel when you think about doing the task? Anxiety, overwhelm, boredom, something else? What specifically about the task leads to those feelings? ~Identify strategies to address the biggest obstacles. Once you have a better idea about why you’re procrastinating, then you’re in a better position to find a solution. Be open to experimenting with different strategies to find one that works. ~Take action, no matter how tiny your first step is. Getting started is often the hardest part, so block off time to do the task, set a timer for 5 minutes, and commit to taking that first tiny step. Enlist the support of co-working buddies or accountability partners to help you follow through on your plan. Once you take action, you might be surprised how much you end up getting done! What part of my tip resonated most with you?

“𝕎𝕙𝕪 𝕚𝕤 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖 𝕤𝕠 𝕙𝕒𝕣��?” 😩 is a question I can get down with. Because It is hard. Every bit of it. I’ve never once felt like I’ve 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 it. I sincerely doubt many do. We struggle because we keep failing the exam. We keep failing the exam because we’re not reading the questions. 🗣️ Blindly, we follow, we copy answers to a test not meant for us. Without realizing 🅔🅥🅔🅡🅨🅞🅝🅔 has a different paper, with different questions. Spinning our wheels to blend in, fit in, and 𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚 ourselves will ultimately, inevitably, always lead to ➡️ —> burnout —> emotional exhaustion and —> struggle Perpetuating imposter syndrome, self-doubt, & lack of confidence in your abilities. Embracing your 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 is not an overnight expedition. But 💯 doable. It requires mindfulness to —> cultivate your self-awareness —> recognize your values & passions —> reflect on past ᴇxᴘᴇʀɪᴇɴᴄᴇꜱ —> identify patterns or roadblocks It’s a monumental journey, a truly solo mission - finding your purpose, your light, and ultimately, finding you. It’s the only path 👉🏻 to 🅟🅔🅐🅒🅔. I assure you. “Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.” - Chinese Proverb So often we get caught up in all the things we think we SHOULD do…things we should have done BETTER…how we will change things so next time they will be MORE EFFECTIVE…so much bashing on ourselves. ✨ What if instead, you looked back on the past year and asked yourself about your WINS, for example: ❓What are the top 1-3 things I’m really PROUD of myself for? ❓ What big challenge did you take on? ❓What new thing did you try? ❓What did you do, even though it scared or intimidated you? ❓What hard decision did you make? ❓What did you start doing to move forward? ❓What did you STOP doing, that was holding you back? ❓What did you try, fail at, and then try again? ❓How did you step out of your comfort zone?   I’m going to challenge you to take some time to think about the things you did in 2023 that make you PROUD. Building self-efficacy is a HUGE trait to have. I want to start the week by reminding you that you are allowed to Feel your Feelings. We often suppress our feelings and take comfort in default actions, finding safety in mindless routines because they are easier than facing what is happening internally. As a coach, I am conscious of making room for feelings, especially the ones that come up unexpectedly. When this happens, people tend to quickly apologise and attempt to re-pack what they have been pushing down. But a big part of being able to develop and grow requires taking a good look in the mirror and not running away from yourself. Stopping and sitting in your feelings is sometimes the only way to take real steps forward. Whatever you're struggling with now, don't feel guilty about how you feel. Don't push those feelings aside or dismiss them. Your feelings are valid and have the right to exist, so let them. The sooner they come, the sooner they go.

When things are left unspoken, they fester and create all kinds of havoc in our mind, body, and spirit. “Do not let the sun go down while you are angry.” 💢 But you may not have let yourself see your own anger. Learning at a young age that anger was not okay. Programmed to cover it up with resignation, over-responsibility, and sadness. With that, many suns have gone down. Those events cycling back in your mind day after week after year. Tommy from 4th grade! Ms. Smith! Family member! Little moments of trapped fury that hasn’t made its way out and still sits in a container with a tight lid inside your torso. It’s time to clear that out. Make room for something new. (((And, you don’t actually have to have a two way convo with Tommy or Ms Smith or that family member to clear it))) What’s left unsaid? What part of your experience didn’t get expressed? Release what is not yours to hold on to. And hold your hand open to the goodness that you can experience in your work, relationships, and wellbeing. Worthiness Wednesday ❓ How often do you look for something external to solve your internal struggles? One of the things I’ve learned is that every time I sought an expert in a field in which I thought they would be able to FIX my internal struggle, I was often disappointed. Because I was expecting someone else to fix what was broken within me. ❗ First I want to say none of us are broken! ❣ We are imperfectly perfect by design. 💭 My biggest aha was that everything that I was experiencing in the outer world (what I was attracting) was simply a reflection of how I felt on the inside. I can’t tell you how many times I would get frustrated with the law of attraction because on the inside I didn’t believe I was worthy of it which created a sense of longing and sadness. I realized one of my biggest problems was looking for someone to fix me. Instead I looked for resources and people to guide me back to my inner most thoughts and beliefs. This helped me see myself differently which shifted my inner beliefs. 💡 Let me be clear – nobody can change your beliefs for you, but having someone reflect back to you and ask you powerful questions can help you see the stories your telling yourself are no longer serving you. 🗝 Two Keys to this worthiness journey: 1.     Forgiveness is key - Forgiveness of Self & forgiveness of others. 2.     Letting go of judgements is key - First of Self which allows for greater acceptance of others. When we accept all of our imperfect self, we start believing & trusting our self. 💜 You Are Inherently Worthy exactly as you are! 💜 Remind yourself that the only person who can truly allow you to feel worthy is Yourself! Seek that from within and you shall find it. 💞 Resource share - One of my favorite tools I utilize is Ho'oponopono when I find myself in judgement. 🌟 Nurturing Your Inner Champion: 3 Steps to Silence Your Inner Critic 🌟 I want to share a practical approach to help you deal with that pesky inner critic we all wrestle with. Let's dive into some actionable steps that can truly make a difference in our journey to self-empowerment. 💪 Step 1: Awareness is Key The first step to conquering your inner critic is becoming aware of its presence. Pay attention to those moments when self-doubt creeps in. Notice the negative thoughts that pop up – whether it's about your abilities, appearance, or decisions. Journaling can be a fantastic tool here! Write down those thoughts and feelings. By acknowledging them, you're taking away their power to silently control your actions. Step 2: Reframe and Challenge Now that you're aware of those negative thoughts, it's time to reframe them. When you catch yourself thinking, "I'm not good enough," challenge that thought. Ask yourself for evidence that supports or contradicts it. Most of the time, you'll find that the negative belief isn't backed by concrete facts. Replace it with a more realistic and positive perspective. For instance, turn "I can't do this" into "I might face challenges, but I'm capable of learning and growing." Step 3: Cultivate Self-Compassion We often treat ourselves more harshly than we'd treat our friends. It's time to extend the same compassion to ourselves that we extend to others. Imagine you're speaking to a dear friend who's facing a similar situation. What words of encouragement and support would you offer them? Now, offer those same words to yourself. Treat yourself as you would a cherished loved one – with kindness, patience, and understanding. Remember, this journey is about progress, not perfection. It takes time to rewire our thought patterns, but every small step counts. Surround yourself with positivity – whether it's through inspiring books, uplifting podcasts, or supportive friends. And celebrate your wins along the way, no matter how small they may seem. 🎉 So, let's start silencing that inner critic and nurturing our inner champion. You have the strength within you to rewrite your narrative and step into your true potential.
