The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known as Duanwu Festival. It's said that it is to commemorate a Chinese patriotic poet, Qu Yuan. The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to place, but there are some common in them. First, the most famous and great tradition is holding Dragon Boat races. Nowadays dragon boat races have been an annual popular sport activity among people. In addition, making and eating Zongzi—a dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves—is also a popular custom during this day. It can be made by many kinds of stuffing. These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years, but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese culture. https://lnkd.in/gjfrGAgP #titanium #ti #titaniumbar #titaniumwire #titaniumplate #titaniumtube #titaniumsheet #alloy

Historical and Cultural Significance The festival has a history of over two thousand years and is associated with various legends and traditions. One of the most popular legends is that it commemorates the death of Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet and minister who drowned himself in 278 BCE to protest against corruption in the imperial court. Villagers are said to have raced out in boats to save him or recover his body, which is believed to be the origin of dragon boat racing. Traditional Activities The Dragon Boat Festival is marked by several traditional activities: Dragon Boat Racing: This is the most iconic activity, where teams paddle long, narrow boats decorated with dragon heads and tails.
