Food is culture. It's time to start designing for that. The food industry is facing many challenges, from climate change to supply chain disruptions. But we can't solve these problems without also thinking about the cultural aspects of food. Food is more than just a product. It's a way that we connect with our families, communities, and traditions. It's also a way that we express our creativity and identity. When we overlook the cultural aspects of food, we miss out on important opportunities to create a more sustainable and equitable food system. For example, we might develop new technologies to produce food more efficiently, but if we don't also think about how people will access and consume that food, we could end up creating a system that is still unequal and unsustainable.
