Today, during a working visit to Dzerzhinsk, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander #Lukashenko announced major development plans for the city. This includes significant improvements in #transportation so that local residents could commute to work in the capital in just 20 minutes.  The President emphasized that the road should be a railway, with very fast vehicles. One of the options is string transport, which has been known in #Belarus for a long time. We are pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated Decarbonization Fund for our islands paid for by allowances from the European Emissions System. This fund, depending on the price of carbon, could ultimately be worth €2 billion. Greece chose to host the 9th Our Ocean Conference to catalyse action. We are heartened by the commitments that have been made during this gathering: over 400 pledges, exceeding $10 billion in value. These announcements show that we have the political will to act. Only by working together, governments, business, civil society, and by being true to the spirit of equity and solidarity, can we tackle this global challenge. #OurOcean2024 #OurOceanGreece

Today we celebrate World Maritime Day! 🌍🌊 The International Maritime Organization theme for 2023 is 'MARPOL at 50 – Our commitment goes on,’ putting the spotlight on the MARPOL treaty which aims to prevent the pollution of the marine environment by ships.    The oceans are the lungs of our planet. They cover 70% of the earth’s surface and generate 50% of the oxygen we need according to the United Nations. But protecting the oceans from climate change demands active solutions.     At Evoy, we know that preserving our collective future takes constant innovation. In 2018 Leif A.
