"Resistance doesn't just help one individual - it's a group action with a group effect." - @tlantic Xplorer. The Atlantic Explorers, an innovative youth collective, delved into the profound concept of 'People, Power, and Resistance' through a thought-provoking zine-making project. Inspired by the Black Atlantic exhibition at The Fitzwilliam Museum, this group contemplated the personal meaning of 'People, Power, and Resistance' and their significance for individuals and communities. Through a series of introspective questions, each student chose a word and reflected on its essence, importance to them, and its broader relevance. They then swapped zines, challenging one another to understand and communicate their peers' perspectives. The Atlantic Explorers perceive ‘Resistance’ as unapologetically being your authentic self, staying grounded in the present moment, and collectively challenging systems of oppression through unified action that creates positive change for all. This collaborative project, part of the FUTURE/POWER partnership between The Fitzwilliam Museum, Museum X, and Soham Village College, empowers young people to engage in interdisciplinary co-research spaces. By exploring complex themes through creative expression, they are engaging with, influencing and developing the knowledge our future societies will be built on. 🔗 Find out more about this inspiring collaboration: https://lnkd.in/eDzaYvMq 🎨 Artwork created collaboratively by members of the Atlantic Explorers collective, Soham Village College. #YouthVoices #ResistanceTogether #BlackAtlanticExhibition #MuseumCollaboration #CreativeExpression #EmpoweringYouth #FuturePower #Codesig

This short film shows how the three Cost Actions worked together, what challenges they faced und how they thin interdisciplinary research will influence the future! Have a look, enjoy and let us know what you think! 💚🌿🌳 https://lnkd.in/dP8ujt9W

📣”Oh, I don’t have to take my children to the museum; they've already been with the school." Here are 3 reasons why you should go back: 1. Personalized Experience: Schools operate on tight schedules and must follow a set curriculum. By taking your child, you can tailor the visit to their specific interests. Want to spend more time at the polar bear exhibit? No problem! 🐻❄️ 2. Quality Bonding Time: Visiting the museum with your child allows for quality time together. You can explore at your own pace.🤝 3.New Discoveries: Museums regularly update their exhibits. Your child likely didn't see everything on their first visit, and new displays can provide fresh learning opportunities. 🔍 Bonus: See the list of free days for museums below! 📅 Let’s combat summer learning loss. 💎Studies show that children who visit museums with their families tend to perform better academically. Learning never stops—embrace lifelong learning! 📚✨🦋💎 #BillionaireBookBabeArt #BillionaireBookBabe #SummerLearning #MuseumMagic #FamilyFun #LifelongLearning #ExploreTogether #SmartParents #EducationMatters

Chercheuse postdoctorale à l'Université de Strasbourg (Littératures de l'imaginaire, XIXe-XXIe : fantastique, SF, anticipation, arts)
#CFP "The Technological #Superhero (The Superhero Project: 8th Global Meeting)" (deadline : March 11) #Technology in the superhero genre is largely presented as a form of augmentation and the non-superpowered #Batman – marking his 85th anniversary this year – is a character very much defined by this, not least by his signature and iconic utilisation of the Batmobile. Batman’s iconic costume was mainly defined as a means of promulgating fear in his criminal prey – with the utility belt containing gadgetry - it is now an intensely technological construct of multi-faceted purpose (Batman Begins, Arkham Asylum) that provides his power as a superhero. Within superhero #cinema, the representation of technology is a way of aligning the characters with contemporary screen action heroes (the gadget-infused James #Bond) and our modern culture. The flagstone of #Marvel Cinematic Universe is an explicitly technological superhero – Iron Man – and characters like #Spiderman are less defined by their physical powers, than the technological capabilities of their costume, from the familiar and plausible (drones, augmented reality) to the comparative “magic” of nanotechnology. https://lnkd.in/d-ZbS-Y2
