Friends and my broader brothers and sisters in arms,
I’m reaching out to anyone that is interested in actual learning how to do the daily tasks of a cybersecurity professional.
RapidAscent is a training academy that has two different cohorts you can attend whether you work day time or evening time. The day time cohort is 17 weeks and the evening cohort for those of you who work during the day is Part Time 23 weeks long.
You will learn everything from the basics of Computer systems to more advanced skills such as Linux Coding, Computer networking, computer systems, identifying threats, patching vulnerabilities, mitigating risk, cyber ranges as an individual and with a team, Governance Risk and Compliance, and even Penteating/ethical hacking, and much more.
For those still in the service through VETS2INDUSTRY you can participate in the DoD Skillbridge and complete the program during your last 6 months of service.
If you mention how you heard about RapidAscent as being VETS2INDUSTRY when you go to the RapidAscent website (add dot com at the end of the company name), then you will get me as your career counselor for the duration of your training and after.
The training only costs 3.5 months of your Post 9/11 GI BILL or you can use VR&E, scholarships or loans if you have exhausted your benefits.
The program also gives you, upon graduation, 30 core cybersecurity college credit hours (included in the 3.5 months; no extra cost) and Sec+ or CYSSA+ training and a FREE voucher for either of the tests.
If you know me, you know I don’t mess with programs or organizations that don’t do right by our community. I can hands down tell you that RapidAscent cares more about your success than you can imagine. We help with mentorship, career connections, resumes, LinkedIn, free resource knowledge, interview preparation, and lots more.
In the comments, let me know how you fell in love with Cybersecurity. Was it some event (like a hack) that got you interested, or did you like to build computers as a kid? Or was it just your love of helping and protecting others that drove you to be interested or passionate about cyber?
