Want to hear more about our belief of #WhatBankingCanBe? We hope to see you next week! The banking industry is changing faster than ever, we have to adapt and differentiate or be left behind to be acquired. For us it’s about creating a customer experience blending innovation with the relationship first foundation on which we were built. It’s about creating a positive internal culture that is reflected through to our customers. It’s about community and giving back. We don’t fear the future, and we don’t believe “this is how we’ve always done it” is acceptable. #banklocally

32 years of criminal and juvenile justice executive leadership at the city, county, state and within a large non-profit agency level leading system wide juvenile justice reform and improving conditions of confinement.
That is leadership in action. Actions not words is how you measure leadership. Great display of leadership.
“The quality of your life will be determined by the quality of your contribution. When you work to improve the lives of others, your life improves automatically.” – Kurek Ashley I am incredibly proud of our 700+ staff across New York State who contribute their time and talents to better the lives of others in their community. In addition to their careers at Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth, so many of our employees contribute their time through volunteer work - supporting other nonprofits and needs in their community. This past weekend, I was proud to volunteer my time, along with Veronica Aguirre, to support Berkshire and our mission of strengthening children and families. Thank you to Saratoga Performing Arts Center and Legends Events & Hospitality for the opportunity!

This is one of the ways I fill my 'community bucket' - by volunteering at the Ottawa Community Foundation, on the board, the Grants Committee and the Impact Investing Committee. If you are not familiar - OCF is your community impact broker, helping to bring together so many parts of Ottawa, to pool together our funds and use that to re-invest in our community. We connect people looking for ways to invest their funds for the good of the community (donors), with local nonprofits/charities (service providers) serving those who can really use that investment (community members or causes). And the causes we support are driven by what's needed and what's important to the people who make up our city - so range from social services to health to education to arts and culture to heritage to environment to animal rights. I love volunteering here because it helps me feel connected to the heartbeat of Ottawa across all of our diversity - from grassroots local community groups to donors and funders to business leaders to policy makers. As individuals we are each plugged into to different parts of our city, geographically or sectorally or demographically. But here, we are all united through our common interest in making our city a better place for everyone. So here's a little window into the amazing work that's happening in our city everyday, thanks to all these different folks coming together, each doing our part, to lift each other up.
