Here is a mockup of a modern job board for Parks & Recreation professionals. But I need your help... 🙏🏽 Is this something that is actually needed? Quick thoughts: 1.) Would be supervisory level positions and above: Director, Deputy, Assistant, Superintendent, Manager, Supervisor, etc. 2.) Bi-monthly updates right to your inbox, plus constant access via www.parksandrecipes.com 3.) Specific things to Parks & Recreation called out: - Do they offer a hybrid work? - Is there childcare nearby? - What is the cost of living? - Do they offer relocation? If at least 5 of our followers comment below👇or send us a direct message 🙋🏽♂️ expressing interest, we'll turn this concept into reality. Would you find value in this? What features would you want? #parksandrecreation #parksandrec

Career Brand Strategist ✦ Nationally Certified Résumé & LinkedIn Profile Writing Service ✦ Career Growth Advisor ✦ Job Search Coach ✦ Career Transition Consultant ✦ Outstanding Career Branding to Help You Shine!
I met two executives this year who told me they have abandoned the corporate hierarchy and traditional hiring methods in favor of simply seeking "people resources." Instead of creating a title and rigidly defining the role, they seek people with a lot to offer and allow them to contribute based on their passions and skills. The result is a highly engaged workforce, where people are bringing their whole selves to work and performing with a sense of ownership. For example, one executive--a gym owner-- hired someone last month "...because he can do the front desk admin efficiently plus he has advanced handyman skills. My building has never been in better shape!" I asked what is the appropriate job title for someone in charge of front desk admin and random handyman projects. He said, "His name is Aiden." People-centric leadership is the future. #careerbranding #hirethewholeperson #holistichiring

I've seen an uptick of people lately taking a look at my Resume/Linkedin profile and asking: "Why do you have your time working at a theme park listed? That's a simple and non-effort Job, not many people will take you seriously for it!" I believe they are sorely mistaken. Theme Park work tends to be some of the most grueling and underappreciated roles that a person does, in fact, most of the role as a Theme Park Worker, has you putting on multiple hats at once! "Oh but you just press a button and make the Ride work" "Oh, you just sweep up trash" "Oh you're just standing around" "You're sitting at a computer Answering Peoples Questions From a Guest Perspective, sure, you see the person at the entrance greeting guests or see the Ride Operator give a thumbs-up next to a Station Button to start the Ride. Possibly, you do see one of the Custodians sweeping up a bucket of Spilled Popcorn that a Guest Dropped 30 seconds prior. But there are so many things going on that you don't realize. That Greeter you see "Standing around" is scanning all guests to ensure that they are meeting the requirements for the ride/ensuring guests are going to the right location if they require additional Assistance. As well as responding to Guest questions regarding the Ride or things around the park to do. That Ride Operator who is "waiting" and pressing a button to start the ride has to go through a 5-6 stage process in a matter of 30 seconds or less to ensure the Riders are Safely in the vehicle and if the Ride Breaks, may have to lift/operate 50+ pounds of weight or machinery to ensure guest safety in the event of an Evacuation. That Custodian isn't just sweeping one singular spill, but a whole plethora of safety hazards. as well as following all local and state laws regarding cleanups and chemical safety. That operator who presses the button to start the whole ride is looking at EVERYONE during the Ride with up to 25-30 screens at one time. Ensuring no one jumps out or happens to have a medical emergency. Meanwhile, multiple people are complaining to the employees at the front of the park about some issues that they are having and demanding to be recompensed for their situations. While that same team member is utilizing 5-6 different Programs at once to ensure the best solution is made to the guest. The truth is, I learned so much working at a theme park. How to resolve conflicts, ensure swift and efficient response times, follow rules and regulations from multiple different groups, and even utilize multiple solutions to seemingly identical problems. Not to mention training and even developing Standard Operating Procedures for Employees. It laid the groundwork for the field I currently am in and want to continue working for. And it will be one thing I will almost always have on my resume due to it.

Do you think it's time to look for other opportunities? As a recruiter, I hear all different reasons for wanting to leave a job, or not to want to leave. But feeling appreciated and wanting to grow are 2 that stick out. Are you in a good culture with your current employer? I mention culture now because one of the top General Contractors in South Florida is one of our clients. I am working to fill several positions since they are growing and have projects in a few locations (they have multiple offices). That's just one reason why we love working with them. Great benefits, fun outings, and community involvement, and really value their team! They have asked us to fill the following: 1. Commercial Assistant Project Managers- need 1 for multifamily and 1 for general commercial- West Palm Beach 2. Commercial Senior Project Manager- Luxury Hospitality - West Palm Beach 3. Commercial Pre-construction Director- Need a dynamic leader-West Palm Beach 4. Residential Project Manager - Ultra Luxury Custom Homes- Miami #construction #constructionjobs #miamijobs #luxuryhome #assistantprojectmanager #projectmanagement #preconstruction #constructionhiring #southflorida Colin Estrem Zach Minott Niña Fuentes
