All in a days work, the old dock leveller is removed and replaced with new. This all started from a meet and greet. Which turned into a discussion about preventative maintenance, which led to a one off inspection. This is the only dock leveller on-site. So suffice it to say that when we found all the issues we did with the split welds, cracking welds, missing bolts, damaged mounts and more, the immediate concern was - “this is our only dock, how soon can you replace it!?” With some quick planning and liaising we managed to order the new dock, receive it within 3 days and install it on the 4th day being Saturday. Great result for everyone involved, we love producing outcomes like this for our customers everyday. Your business matters to us, so we work hard for it! Thank you to Matthew Drennan and Dean Drennan for helping out on this job! #tipofthespear #completeentrancesolutions #rapidrollerdoor #preventativemaintenance #industrialentrancesolutions #entrancesolutions #technician #electrician #maintenance #hazards #facilitymanagement #highspeeddoors #warehousesecurity #warehouselogistics #industrialdoors #logistics #freight #industrialgates #insulatedpaneldoors #loadindocks #sydneyentrancesystems #nswentrancesystems #entrancesystemspartner #safetech #tieman #dockleveller #hydraulics

That’s impressive! Replacing a kiln shell supporting block and ensuring meticulous alignment is a critical task that requires expertise. Lockout/tagout procedures:* These procedures ensure that machinery is properly shut down and de-energized before work begins. **Personal protective equipment (PPE):* This may include gloves, safety glasses, respirators, and hard hats. **Working with a qualified technician:* Kiln shell supporting blocks are critical components, and replacing them can be complex. Having a qualified technician on hand ensures the work is done correctly and safely. I have replaced a damaged kiln shell supporting block. and I used air gouging to clean the area around the block before replacing it. meticulously aligned the new block to ensure even weight distribution and prevent stress on the kiln shell and grinding the surrounding area of block replacement and Arc welded on supporting blocks. And I have prioritized safety throughout the process. Safety is especially important when working on industrial machinery like rotary kilns. Here are some general safety measures that are likely followed when replacing kiln shell supporting blocks.

Maintain your Wire Rope to ensure the longevity and safe operation of your machine. Worn and broken Wire Rope is a safety hazard. Get your Wire Rope inspected by a trained Kendrick Equipment Technician today! Wire Rope is a critical component of many types of machinery, but it can also be a safety hazard if it is not properly maintained. During our Annual Inspection Program, Kendrick Equipment Technicians see worn and broken Wire Rope more often than any other problem. Even if you maintain your Wire Rope properly, it will eventually degrade and lose strength over time. That's why it's important to have your Wire Rope inspected by a trained Technician regularly. Here are some of the signs of wire rope degradation: ❗ Fatigue (stretched out) ❗ Abrasions ❗ Cuts or gouges ❗ Twisting ❗ Mashing (flattened wire) If you see any of these signs on your Wire Rope, it's important to have it inspected immediately. A trained Kendrick Equipment Technician will be able to assess the damage and determine if your Wire Rope needs to be replaced. During a crisis, it's easy for small details to slip through the cracks. Bolt joints, including the choice of washers, are crucial yet often overlooked. Maintenance technicians should have a solid understanding of this basic element, which can sometimes get lost over time. Attached is a brief work instruction outlining the distinctions between washers in a bolt joint and the best practices for handling them. This resource serves as a quick, one-point lesson that can be easily covered in a short meeting. #Maintenance #Technicians #BoltJoints #BestPractices #WorkInstruction

If you don't grow fast enough - you have yourself a big JOB! Never allow tenants to make repairs. This is a miserable lesson I had to learn the hard way. Typically it goes something like this: They contact you and admit they've caused some cosmetic damage. Usually its drywall for some reason. And like a good person, they offer to do the repair. Tempting because if you're the one doing the work then the offer sounds pretty good. And if you have a part time handyman, you know that scheduling the repairs and collecting the materials is also a pain. So you agree to them doing the repairs. And you go in there to find that they used the wrong materials, wrong paint and its worse than it was before. So now you have to undo the work. Re-do the work, and charge them for it. Never a fun conversation. This is why I'm working to grow a portfolio that financially supports a full-time maintenance technician.
