We are seeking Principal Planners in the Shasta County, California. DESCRIPTIONThe Principal Planner position within the professional planning series. The Principal Planner manages, supervises, and participates in advanced, highly-complex professional planning activities. This position may perform duties of a senior planner or act as a Deputy Director. I spoke to a Construction Leader who is finding it “impossible” to recruit construction professionals within the Data Center space yesterday. This is a fairly common theme right now. But also fairly common was how he’s just completely in the dark about where these people are going to come from. No real idea of what the challenges are. And even less of an idea about what alternative solutions may look like. He’s being “advised” by a Talent team and a couple of external agencies. Both working contingent. Both sporadically sending CV’s which fall short of expectations. I say “advised” because ironically, there’s no advice or guidance. Meanwhile he’s struggling to keep up with the increasing workload and demands on his team. It’s a very stressful situation. I would say this is so common right now. It’s the worst place to be as a hiring manager and I feel for him and if you’re in the same position feeling in the dark yourself, I feel for you too. Luckily, the team here follow a process which eradicates all of these frustrations. There’s a better way to do things compared to what 90% of the industry is doing. Maybe 99% from what I see. Ways that provide better outcomes and focus on solutions.
