Congratulations to Phil Burns on his promotion to Development Services Director! Phil has worked for the City a total of 31 years, including the last 18 as Building Director! “I'm thrilled to serve our community in this new role,” Burns said of his promotion. "Bakersfield is currently engaged in pivotal projects, including the General Plan and the Housing Element, which will shape our community's future for the next two decades." Phil succeeds Chris Boyle, who retired as Development Services Director on July 5.
