In October investor focus shifted from the front-end to the back-end of the yield curve. The aggressive sell-off seen in longer dated bonds, coupled with significant underperformance caught the attention of investors as the rise in yields caused financial conditions to tighten. This poses the question, will tighter financial conditions likely affect the impact on future monetary policy and could it alleviate pressure on central bankers to tighten further in the future. I have decided that I am going to share all my trading on linkedin. My strategy is simple, I look for a reaction below or above the asian range, identifying liquidity along with the london session open. In this case it was simple, the reaction was not the prettiest, I would rather have seen the price go down a bit earlier to absorb all the liquidity and then go up for more liquidity. However, it was a good trade leaving us with an R:R of 1 to 4.
