I'm extremely excited to share that I'm officially a PMP®!
After months of studying and preparation, I've passed my PMP exam from Project Management Institute in ALL domains on my very first attempt! The PMP is probably the most intense exam I've ever taken, being four hours long, with purely knowledge based situational questions.
For those looking to get your PMP, this is not an exam you can study for and just memorize material, you have to know project management, people management, agile frameworks, and the agile way of working, inside and out. Admittedly, I am not a great test taker. So I was extremely nervous to take on the pursuit of getting my PMP Certification, even though I knew it was something that I truly wanted to do. With that, I wanted to pass on some knowledge to those also in pursuit of their PMP.
Things I did that I believed helped me pass:
1. Andrew Ramdayal : PMP Exam Prep Course 35 PDU (Udemy), this covers complete Predictive, Agile and Hybrid methods and importantly, one must Go through "Mindset" section which is crucial and extremely a game changer. Thank you for the excellent course.
2. Andrew Ramdayal : TIA Simulator (https://lnkd.in/gdfDXgvz) This simulator has fantastic questions and video-based explanations by Andrew.
3. David McLachlan's video's on YouTube. ALL OF THEM. Specifically watching the 150 PMBOK Scenario Based Questions, 100 Waterfall Questions, and 200 Agile PMP Questions (These videos are long...like 6+ HOURS long each, but they REALLY put you in the mindset to be able to answer scenario knowledge based questions)
A special shout out to my husband Karthik Dodda for his extensive support, motivation and encouragement throughout the process.
This PMP certification is not just a badge on my LinkedIn profile; it symbolizes a commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and a passion for effective project management. I am excited to apply these skills in my current and future endeavours.
