#DYK the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Inspector General) is among nearly 30 #IPR Center partners? To help safeguard veterans’ health and safety, we created Operation Genuine Valor. OGV uses a collaborative approach and the Government Supply Chain Investigations Unit’s expertise and extensive data sources to combat the threat of counterfeit pharmaceuticals, medical devices and surgical supplies from infiltrating the VA supply chain. The Operation's capabilities include: - Adopting a unified government-wide approach, leveraging partner agencies’ expertise. - Using data integration and analysis from interagency sources to proactively combat threats. - Receiving real-time information from the National Center for Patient Safety. - Delivering targeted training and outreach, enhancing VA and its partners’ ability to detect and mitigate counterfeit risks.
