💡Technology for good Our French labs are collaborating with Raymond-Poincaré Hospital (part of Greater Paris University Hospitals - AP-HP) in the development of a screening tool for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) using #AI. 👶SMA affects 1 in 2000 newborns and if left untreated, can be life-threatening. But with early detection through this new technology, timely gene therapy can be administered for effective treatment and care planning. Clinicians can now identify abnormal mobility more quickly, with 97% accuracy, which could make this a critical part of timely intervention and treatment with gene therapy.
