A few thoughts on the sale of Swedish Fashion Council by Svensk Handel to Lili Assefa: It’s concerning that an industry organisation falls in the hands of a private individual. The question becomes: will SFC even function as an industry organisation? Or will they lean into becoming an innovation hub – functioning as an incubator for avantgarde designers and organising Fashion X? The industry needs a unifying organisation.
