Almost half of my deals I locked till the date is through references!!
Here is what I followed religiously-
🚀 Connect Strategically
Connect with colleagues, supervisors, mentors, and clients from your current and past jobs.
🚀 Endorse and Recommend
Endorse skills and write recommendations for your connections. They might reciprocate, which adds credibility to your profile.
🚀 Participate in Groups
Join LinkedIn groups relevant to your industry and engage in discussions.
This can help you connect with like-minded professionals who might be willing to provide references.
🚀 Attend Webinars and Events
Participate in online webinars, workshops, and virtual networking events.
Engaging in these events can help you connect with professionals who share similar interests.
You want anything to add other than creating content and commenting valuable things!!!
These are so common now!

Last night, I came across this TEDxPCL talk by Andrew Griffiths on "The Power of Meaningful Networking".
It took me on a trip down memory lane, reminding me of the impact networking had on my business journey. Hosting the Canadian Analytics Collaborative events for four years provided invaluable opportunities, and mentoring talented data analytics professionals from networking events was truly fulfilling. Working with Personal Branding Expert Bobby Umar on his DYPB - Discover Your Personal Brand team further polished my networking skills.
However, when Covid hit, everything changed. Personal setbacks and a business downturn left me in a three-year limbo, contemplating roles and services.
Recently, a LinkedIn connection sparked a chain of events, leading me to valuable new contacts. Their feedback—acknowledging talent and experience—became a morale boost, inspiring me to reconnect with my network.
Sharing this as a reminder for myself and others facing career or business uncertainties - "Meaningful networking is key for progression".
Watch this motivational video, attend meetups, connect on LinkedIn, and engage in meaningful conversations. Trust me, things will fall into place.
I am committed to taking action. Feel free to connect with me if there's anyway, I can assist you on your journey.
Here's to the weekend and taking positive steps forward.
Thank you – Sonu Dev Joshi, Aadil Hussain, Talha Shaikh and Taz Rajabali for the feedback and support.

In my last post we talked about the benefits of training with the best.
But how do you get invited in the first place?
Here are advanced networking strategies (you already know it, IT WORKS!):
✅Become a Thought Leader: Share your expertise! Publishing articles or attending industry events can position you as a valuable asset, attracting opportunities like Kageyama's training camp.
✅Hangout Where the Stars Do: Network in the right places. Attend industry conferences or online forums frequented by top performers. This is where connections are made!
✅Leverage Your Alumni Network: Don't underestimate the power of past connections. Reach out to alumni from your school or previous workplaces. They might have valuable insights or even referrals.
Go beyond just showing up!
Like in the last post, I cannot stress this enough – give your 100% in whatever you do even when no one is watching and market it extensively in your free time. That is how you get invited to networking-building-arenas in the first place!
